what is hengaw dot net?
76
Hironoveau Mar 30, 2026 +26
Never heard of it. So probably just another propaganda.
26
UnexaminedLifeOfMine Mar 30, 2026 -32
Put your head in the sand and only follow the news you agree with
-32
thefoodiedentist Mar 30, 2026 +15
Its not news if no reputable sources are verifying it. Its just fiction and propaganda.
15
Hironoveau Mar 30, 2026 +7
My history teacher taught me to listen carefully to both sides of a story so I can better understand who is telling the truth and who might not be. You want an example? I watch news from my local (western news) vs International/global news.

VerbAdjectiveNoun Mar 30, 2026 +1
You could just look up what Hengaw is? It's a human rights NGO that focuses on Iran and Kurdistan.
1
UnexaminedLifeOfMine Mar 30, 2026 +1
I do and everyone should
1
Orange-skittles Mar 30, 2026 +21
its a is a human rights NGO registered in Norway

IsThisKismet Mar 30, 2026 +18
That couldn’t be bothered to fill out their own “about” section? EDIT: I see that the link works at the bottom of the page, but not the banner at the top. Eh, I am still fairly suspicious of such a thrown together website, honestly. I feel like this would need second-hand verification, otherwise, I’d figure it to be more propaganda than news.
18
RndPotato Mar 30, 2026 +1
They are a legit NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) but definitely don't cite very well. Most of their articles have the following: Source: Hengaw English or Source: Hengaw
1
fyrefox45 Mar 30, 2026 +17
It is propaganda. [Look at their take on Minab](https://hengaw.net/en/reports-and-statistics-1/2026/03/article-1). Factually inaccurate and blaming it on Iran using human shields.
17
Violet-Rose-Birdy Mar 30, 2026 +11
A source respected by Iranians with a diverse arrange of opinions. Accurately reports both on the regime killing people & Israel & US killing people. Used by a lot of journalists, only people who are h******* regime supporters or monarchists get mad at it

Do you also ask about other less-known sources when it comes to "ISRAEL BAD USA BAD" news?
1
intoxicatedbarbie Mar 30, 2026 +1
We just need ears and eyeballs for sources on that.
1
whipplej Mar 30, 2026 +1
The same Israel that bombs the press?
1
Ape02 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Which press? The ones putting on a "PRESS" vest so they think theyee untouchable even though theyre actual terror irganization operatives?
1
whipplej Mar 30, 2026 +1
Thx for proving my point with the propaganda. When it comes to the press it's not a level playing field, that's why some sources must always be questioned.
1
Orange-skittles Mar 30, 2026 +88
I think everyone on both sides of the aisle can agree that forcing children to fight is pretty much the lowest of low
88
Ancient_Sun_2061 Mar 30, 2026 +23
Nothing new for Iran though. There is a long dark history.
23
Nakorite Mar 30, 2026 +1
Weren’t they the ones using child soldiers to clean mine fields in the Iraq/Iran war ?
1
Ancient_Sun_2061 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Yes, and using them as shields
1
AlpenroseMilk Mar 30, 2026 +6
If only the people running the US didn't start this conflict over nothing.
6
Sircamembert Mar 30, 2026 +18
Well, it's not over nothing. It's about burying the Epstein story.
18
AnekeEomi Mar 30, 2026 +1
And serving the whims of zionists, both here and in Israel.
1
goldenfiver Mar 30, 2026 +1
Really? So you think that’s the reason for it?
1
VerbAdjectiveNoun Mar 30, 2026 +1
A better reason than a distraction from the Epstein files for sure. Nobody was going to hold him accountable and his voter base didn't give a shit anyway. This is purely because Netanyahu saw an opportunity and Trump is f****** stupid enough to bite.
1
AnekeEomi Mar 30, 2026 +1
A reason among many, absolutely. Hence the "And" as a preface to my comment. Right wing reading comprehension always showing to be top notch...
1
2HDFloppyDisk Mar 30, 2026 +7
All the lessons learned over the past 30-40 years and Trump just does it anyway.
7
HofT Mar 30, 2026 -12
The Islamic regime started this by mass killing its own people because they wanted basic human rights.
-12
Ed19627 Mar 30, 2026 +3
So we save these people by killing kids in school and blowing up hospital's? There is a line.. "Killing for peace is like f****** for chastity.."
3
DroopyTers Mar 30, 2026
What other regimes would you say engage in mass killing of its own people because they want basic human rights? And do you advocate military action against them as well? I am genuinely asking.
0
HofT Mar 30, 2026 -3
Give me an example and we can have a conversation about it.
-3
paul232 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Myanmar springs to mind.
1
HofT Mar 30, 2026 +1
Myanmar borders China. You think China would like US interference there?
1
Willing_Journalist35 Mar 30, 2026 -4
The US started this by stealing Iran's oil and effectively destroying its future
-4
HofT Mar 30, 2026 -2
I think you're referring to Britain. And even then, they didn’t “steal it” they built the infrastructure to actually extract and refine the oil in Iran.
-2
ncoozy Mar 30, 2026 +1
Technically it isn't robbing you, because the device I'm robbing you with has been built by myself.
1
HofT Mar 30, 2026 +1
I just made the correction that it wasn't the US, it was Britain. And then Britain asked the US to help keep the Shah in power.
1
International_Goat31 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I hate the regime as much as the next person (maybe more, several of my loved ones are directly affected) but how is the US and Israel jumping in to bomb a school, killing over a hundred kids, destroying oil infrastructure, raining poison on the people of Tehran, threatening to blow up power plants that provide energy for homes, schools, and hospitals (a war crime), all after and killing the leader (so there's nobody with stable power to negotiate with) help anyone? ICE is murdering Americans and setting up concentration camps. Surely you understand that assassinating Trump and then raining missiles on Minnesota in response to the recent murders there would not help the American people? How on Earth were any of the actions taken so far meant to achieve anything positive?
1
dvking131 Mar 30, 2026 -27
Yea yelling death to American for 40 years and actively building a nuclear weapon is not a reason 😂
-27
iamstephen1128 Mar 30, 2026 +9
Gotta love comments like these that seem to imply that these people hate America for no good reason. Do you know anything about the history of Iran and the US's history in toppling their democratic institutions to install a puppet dictatorship? Also yes, tell us more about this nuclear weapon they've been weeks away from achieving since the 80s...
9
HofT Mar 30, 2026 -5
The Islamic regime hates its own people too. Mass murdering them because they want basic human rights.
-5
iamstephen1128 Mar 30, 2026 -2
That truth doesnt negate the truth that the American empire certainly doesn't care about the Iranian people or their human rights either. Or the civilian casualty rate wouldnt be nearly as high, we would find a way to try to mitigate the millions that are displaced, we wouldn't have caused the extremely foreseeable environmental consequences of our bombing of fuel near residential areas, etc. The very real crimes that the Iranian govt was carrying out against its people is merely being used as a flimsy cover for continued US ambitions to control middle Eastern oil
-2
HofT Mar 30, 2026 +1
First, the idea that this is primarily about “controlling Middle Eastern oil” doesn’t line up with reality. The US became a net energy exporter years ago. If this were about oil dependency, you’d expect the strategy to look very different than it does today. Second, you’re talking about civilian harm as if it’s unique to one side, when the core issue is that regimes like Iran’s operate through proxies embedded in civilian populations. That doesn’t erase civilian suffering, but it does change responsibility in a serious way. You can’t ignore how groups deliberately blur that line. Third, the 1953 argument gets brought up constantly, but it’s being used as a blanket explanation for everything that’s happened for over 70 years. That doesn’t explain why the current regime represses its own population, funds militias across the region, and openly calls for the destruction of other states. And lastly, saying the regime’s human rights abuses are just a “cover” is a pretty extreme claim. Women being beaten, imprisoned or killed for basic freedoms isn’t a talking point. That’s happening regardless of anything the US does. You can criticize US policy, but pretending the Islamic regime is just reacting to outside pressure instead of making its own choices doesn’t hold up.

you bodied him so hard his only response was "nuh uh thats ai" lmao

As long as people get educated, I'm fine with any remark back. Nuances matter and at least they know, even if they don't accept it.
1
tpeeeezy Mar 30, 2026 +1
unfortunately, we all know hes only gonna disregard this info harder because the person who said it wasn't directly agreeing with or validating him
1
LibertineLibra Mar 30, 2026 +1
This statement is utter trash. It's not that "something happened" once in 1953 it's that over twenty years of American backed bullsh*t and American industrialization of Iran (not that the profits went to the people of Iran) to profit as much as the US could while the US back Shah ran roughshod over the people. If we hadn't assisted with setting up and then backed up such a c*** corrupt regime while sucking what money we could out of them the Islamic Revolution wouldn't likely have been able to be pulled off the way it did. After that we couldn't just leave them well enough alone could we? Nope, specifically to rein in the influence of Iran we went and heavily supported Iraq in the Iran Iraq war for 8 flipping years- enabling amongst other things, the ballistic missile program and chemical weapons development in Iraq knowing full well who they would use it against (and a sh*t ton of ordnance used some years later as IEDs against American Soldiers in Iraq like me. So somewhere around 500k to 600k Iranians dead from our involvement *again*. Then we were actually not asshats for all of about 6 years before laying on tough economic sanctions in '95 - labelling then a member of the "Axis of Evil" with more sanctions in 02' - and kept heavy sanctions (which by the way end up affecting the common people of Iran more than anyone else) and finally for 3 whole years in 2015 - we negotiated a release of those sanctions in the Nuclear deal with Obama Admin only to turn around in 2018 to tear up the deal and reimpose sanctions because Trump's gotta be Bibi's b****. You should know the rest - but idk bc you claimed that what happened in 1953 doesn't cover 73 years so it's clear you have no clue what the story was as for those 73 years - all but 10 of those years (spread out, not in one go) was the US not doing its best to f*** over the Iranian people - who also had to deal with their own bullshit regime that they put in power to do away with the c*** we put in place. So it's both Mr GPT scholar - We are just about the closest thing to a mortal arch enemy that modern Iran has ever had, AND their own govt sucks. We are definitely NOT the "good guys" here and not one single person in Trump's circle let alone Trump himself gives a rat's ass about the Iranian people.

SESHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Mar 30, 2026 +4
Actively building a nuclear weapon LMFAO, you're clueless. Useful idiots like you are why they cheer death to American
4
theuncleiroh Mar 30, 2026 +3
Really gotta wonder why a country that's actively being attacked by America would say and do something like that..... really makes you thunk..... (But they weren't actively building a nuke, and everyone who investigated the program said this. There was even a whole treaty dedicated to preventing it, but trump illegally tore that one up. He also said he'd ended this imaginary nuclear program about a year ago, though that seems to just have been another outright lie. At the end of the day, though, you'd understand it if they did, since actually having a nuclear program seems to be the only surefire defense against American invasion!)

These people also marry 8 year olds, so I'm not surprised.

Madi473 Mar 30, 2026 +1
One side is lowering the age for gun carrying and purchasing. They also have lowered the age children can legally work and for how many hours. Feel free to guess which side.
1
PsyDragon Mar 30, 2026 +1
United States. Gotta get those kids back in the coal mines.
1
PanemEtMeditationes Mar 30, 2026 +1
Also f****** and killing children, or is this take antiamerican now?
1

dvking131 Mar 30, 2026 -15
You don’t think out of all the people that want to see him fail that if a video did exist it would be everywhere think about it…
-15
Novel_Interaction489 Mar 30, 2026 +3
get away from me with your ideas of video defending the orange pedophile is impressively brain dead but im never surprised to hook someone. DOJ releases documents stating "at least one incident in which EPSTEIN took her off of the island when she was between 13 to 15 years old ....TRUMP unzipped his pants and put REDACTED head, "down to his p****"" but if its not video, you're not interested.

He just wants to watch, it won't change his opinion
-1
SituationIll5763 Mar 30, 2026
If one exists, it was probably recorded using the Israeli installed surveillance, like the New York apartment. On top of other reasons, Trump might feel obligated to serve the Israelis for even the threat or idea of a tape they may or may not have.

It’s a sick and twisted regime that forces these kids into military duty. *the 11-year-old was killed “while on duty” at a checkpoint on Artesh Highway*
23
Standard-Image-8826 Mar 30, 2026 -13
there's almost no news coming out of Iran, i call bs. unless we want to blame israel for killing child soldiers?
-13
RndPotato Mar 30, 2026 +1
Hengaw is blaming Iran for calling up children for military service, not Israel.
1
3pacalypsenow Mar 30, 2026 +1
What an impossible clusterfuck. There will be enough bad news out of this slow rolling disaster to paint Iran as evil enough to justify another 20 year “excursion”

According to the article the death was caused by a drone strike witch does fall in line with US and Israeli actions in the past few days?
5
SpinningByte Mar 30, 2026 -1
Right. I read it wrong. And they killed hundreds civilians from the start of the war. This poor kid is only one
-1
Primary-Gazelle-8161 Mar 30, 2026 -20
My cousin was a child soldier in the Lebanese civil war. He wasnt forced into it. Its like saying kids who join gangs are forced... kids see their country getting bombed and want to fight back. An 11 yr old can feel these things
-20
Sure-Supermarket5097 Mar 30, 2026 +12
Sonion, you cant be justifying this shit.
12
goldenfiver Mar 30, 2026 +1
He is, it’s in the culture
1
Primary-Gazelle-8161 Mar 30, 2026 -6
Nah its fucked up but he wasnt forced according to the article his Dad signed him up...
-6
mad-data Mar 30, 2026 +1
His dad signed him up = his dad forced him = he was forced.
1
Primary-Gazelle-8161 Mar 30, 2026 +1
I misquoted he drove him to the checkpoint so lol
1
Orange-skittles Mar 30, 2026 +15
There are so many things wrong with this statement on a moral and legal level. The reason kids are emotional is the very reason we need to protect them. there young and naive and will do pretty much what ever there told. That's why we as a adults have a duty to protect them no matter what other conflicts happen, not use them as shields.
15
Primary-Gazelle-8161 Mar 30, 2026 -2
Im not saying right or wrong. War is wrong. The root cause is war. Im just saying the kid wasnt forced. The IRGC did the same when Iraq invaded them in the 80s. Prof Marandi was a child soldier
-2
mad-data Mar 30, 2026 +1
He was forced though. And the fact IRGC did the same in war with Iraq does not make any less crime to force kids to war. Not then, not now.
1
Orange-skittles Mar 30, 2026 +1
Im not sure saying Iran has done it before really helps there case in this situation
1
Primary-Gazelle-8161 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Why do you think im trying to help anyone's case? Im just giving facts. Do what you want with them
1
CJ_the_Zero Mar 30, 2026 +1
Consider my consent manufactured! I'm all-in on invading Iran now! /s
1
Stoic_cave Mar 30, 2026 +1
But the US has the biggest gun deaths of their own children irrespective of a war. Objective morality go f***
