When I heard beef season getting a season two I was very worried (as worried as one gets about tv shows lol). Season 1 ended so strong and I thought a continuation would maybe ruin that. A Netflix show called end of the end of the f****** world had a season 2 and while I thought season 2 was enjoyable the cliff hanger of the first season would have been a much stronger end to the story.
So I was very happy to find out they are going the anthology route! The first two episodes are great. Introduced 4 very flawed but compelling characters. I hope the quality continues and we get a bonkers finale
I know of it but have never seen it. Is it worth the watch?

Yes, check it out! It has an over the top ironic tone while being grounded in some real social critique - quiet unique and worth seeing if you might enjoy it.

Was thinking exact same thing. This could very much be Netflix’s version of that with the social class dynamics and anthology approach.

I'm on ep 5 so far and think it's really good.
The Flume needle drop at the end of the first episode had me in awe. Used to listen to that song a lot back in the day.
That song is fire. I binged episode 1-7 yesterday and I have not done that in a long time. So the show is absolutely working for me. Is it as good as season one, probably not but that doesn’t really matter if it’s still great. Looking forward to getting baked and watching the finale tonight.

Counterpoint: I think 2 is better than 1.

After finishing the season in not sure what I like more. Both were great in my opinion. I think Steven’s performance in season 1 is still the best out of both seasons, he really dug deep. I liked that season 2 dealt with different themes like the first season. I’m hoping that they make a third season. Also I love the title card and episode titles, very surreal and unique

I’m not expecting it to surpass the first season. Steven Yungs acting is so f****** good. Was a fan of his from the walking dead and invincible but this is definitely his best performance

I think season 2 is overall better than season 1, but it's a fact that they changed the main purpose of the series. I found season 1 a lot funnier than season 2, but season 2 has a greater meaning.

Just started watching and I'm sorry to say, it has nothing from S1 that I liked. No american-korean and no actual beef. The premise sounds stupid too, there is nothing to blackmail about and the whole season is built on that. Just plain stupid.

Not arguing with your take, taste in media is subjective after all. I enjoyed it a lot personally. But what do you mean about American-Korean? The cast was comprised of Americans and Koreans so I assume you’re referring to something specific and not just the ethnicity of the cast.

Speaking about main characters, the vibe was just totally different. S1 grabbed me in the first few minutes, this one was a struggle.

Gotcha. One of the main four was American Korean. They did touch on a bit of his insecurity of being a white washed Korean but they definitely could have expanded on that theme more.

Season 2 is not at all in sync with series tagline.
Where is the beef?
There is no greater animosity between the main characters.
All the characters are morally corrupt with no redeeming features and there is no one to counter them.
Ending is also not good with no beefing whatsoever.
It doesn't hold a candle to season one.
