If it happens all the time, is it even newsworthy anymore?

More for the future historians to sigh about, while they facepalm at how easily this could've been prevented.

What is your easy method for preventing this?

Obviously more guns and prayers.

How about a constructive suggestion or answer. The vast majority of other countries do not have a 2nd Amendment type thing in their constitution. There won't me wholesale gun bans due to that. Even if all guns are immediately banned and made illegal, there are over 300 million already out there. The people out there using them to shot and possibly kill other people are already committing criminal acts. Making it "more illegal" because they have a gun isn't going to be a deterrent.

If you weren’t going to provide anything constructive, why even comment at all? You’re no better than the “thought and prayers” people.

I’m not the one with a problem. If you have a problem, why not offer a constructive solution?
Edit: I guess you’re all talk but have no actual solutions.

You always keep a bullet proof vest in your car just in case the wind shifts unexpectedly.

It would be like reporting a fire in an oven. Texas is basically an active warzone; I've seen people have to strap up to go get milk from the store there.

Happened at a restaurant I frequent (well, used to) and the shooter was the owner. Apparently was a dispute with the landlords. It’s a shame because Kkanbu was a great sushi place with Korean style banchan. Don’t get me wrong it’s a much bigger shame that 2 people are dead from gun violence, just kinda desensitized to that aspect

In this area, you could go to a new restaurant every week and never run out. There is a lot of turn over and even more growth.

Yep, I used to live near that area and a friend and I would try out a different restaurant every other weekend.

Gun owners: it's not the guns! this guy would've just run them over with his car if he hadn't had a gun!

Once you see like 50% of voters and the entirety of congress just shrug off 20 dead toddlers (Sandy Hook) and refusing to take action, you kind of just lose hope there's any headway that can be done.
If you're stuck in an apartment complex with half the people vote to keep an orphan crushing machine in the lobby, you're stuck with crossing your fingers you don't happen to know any orphans and seeing about moving elsewhere.

Not a dumb question at all! Even *we* have to ask each other "Which one?" when someone asks if we've heard about the latest shooting.
And to answer your question, I have no clue whatsoever. I've completely lost track.

I like how the article starts as a report on a mass shooting and ends as a documentary about Koreans in Texas.
>After a short chase on foot, the 69-year-old suspect was arrested about 4 miles (6 kilometers) away at a grocery store, police said.
And also how it calls 4 miles a short chase on foot.
10
spyVSspy420-695 days ago
+12
Idk I’m not interpreting that as they ran for 4 miles. I’m interpreting that as they came across the suspect 4 miles from the location of the shooting and ran him down after a short foot pursuit.
Could be wrong of course, but because of exactly what you said it makes no sense to read it as a 4 miles foot pursuit.

Not only a mass shooting every day but every day in the US an average of 7 kids are killed by gun violence and that’s just the kids who are killed, imagine how high the number would be if it included injuries and adults.
