Ohhh nice! Only the other week I googled to see if it was available in the uk. Great news

Same, I swear 30 Rock’s streaming rights are harder to track than Tracy Jordan. Perfect excuse for a full rewatch, turn on subtitles, the throwaway jokes are insane.

tylagersign Apr 15, 2026 +12
Also “Great News” is a fantastic show created by Tina Fay

cofnidentlywrong Apr 15, 2026 +3
Did you googled yourself too?

Awesome. Despite being hugely beloved and critically acclaimed I feel like 30R is still underrated. The single funniest show of all time IMO. Watching it and then watching a modern sitcom like Ted Lasso or Abbot Elementary really calls into relief how poor the joke density is is comedies today. People need to know a better world is possible.

SteveBorden Apr 15, 2026 +11
Always felt like it was written like a live action Simpsons (peak) with just so many jokes stuffed into a small section. Also every sitcom seems to be also a drama with serious issues now, not everything needs to be Scrubs!

behold-my-titties Apr 15, 2026 +13
It's an incredibly funny show that a lot of people love, I wouldn't say it's underrated, the show reviewed very well at the time. It's gotten a second life, similar to The Office online. The show has done nothing but thrive since it ended.

itwillmakesenselater Apr 15, 2026 +7
The joke density title has got to go to Archer, though.
7
flamingdonkey Apr 15, 2026 +8
Nah, it's definitely 30 Rock or Arrested Development

bigbirdgenocide Apr 16, 2026 +2
Ted Lasso is barely a comedy

superkbf Apr 15, 2026 +1
Yes! Right on u/fmal!!! 30 Rock is always the superior show.

I hope this includes Germany, so I will finally be able to see what episodes these random clips I keep watching on YouTube are actually from!

panda388 Apr 14, 2026 +10
One of the best sitcoms ever, and so many jokes happening by the second.

Jackski Apr 15, 2026 +4
Everytime I rewatch I catch new jokes I missed the time before because I was too busy laughing. Easily one of the best.

fluffhead77 Apr 15, 2026 +2
Put the captions on! I’ve watched this series no fewer than 15 times front to back, and I caught maybe 10 new jokes last time I watched it with the subtitles on

Your father Werner was a burger server in suburban Santa Barbara. When he spurned your mother Verna for a curly-haired surfer named Roberta. Did that hurt her?

jackiebot101 Apr 15, 2026 +3
When will they get Black Fasier??? It used to always be on on Thursdays, around 9, 9:15.

So now they have SNL, so they can appreciate the lampoon!

mistingo Apr 15, 2026 +2
I’ve never seen 30 Rock so I’m looking forward to my first watch!

Death_Binge Apr 15, 2026 +2
Would love to finally watch this but f*** Netflix and its prices.
2
kiyonemakibi100 Apr 15, 2026 +2
They really need to put all the episodes back into circulation, absolutely absurd that they pulled some
2
ghoti00 Apr 15, 2026 +2
If you've never watched this show you need to stream it as soon as it's available. It's good all the way till the end. It may have more jokes in it than any other show in history.

How has 30 Rock aged? I haven’t watched the show since it was on the air, what, 15+ years ago?
2
TheTresStateArea Apr 14, 2026 +5
In twenty years the UK will have a writer go on to make their own 30 rock now that they have SNL UK And then the USA will make a US reboot of 30 Rock UK And the cycle will be complete. The angels will blow their horns heralding the rapture.

The powerful *Bread Lobby* has been preventing this for years

angelic_darth Apr 18, 2026 +1
I've just received the email from Netflix about this. I've never actually watched 30 Rock before so hopefully it's been worth the wait. I need something new / decent to watch.

So THIS is why she hosted SNL UK. I couldn't see it just being a favor to Lorne
-5
HMWYA Apr 15, 2026 +5
Well, it wasn’t just a favour. She was paid to do it.
5
DriveRVA Apr 15, 2026 +1
I know, her opening monologue was all about explaining her presence there. That gave me this thought since it's on UK distribution now
1
HMWYA Apr 15, 2026 +4
30 Rock has been available in the UK in various different places, including Sky, the channel that airs SNL UK, for years. She won’t have popped up on Sky to promote it moving from Sky to Netflix.
4
Rosetti Apr 15, 2026 +1
It's probably the other way around. 30 Rock is coming to to the UK because of SnL. Fey has a strong relationship with SnL, makes perfect sense why she hosted the first UK episode.

IntoTheMusic Apr 15, 2026
SNL hosts get about $5,000 an episode.
