I like how no mainstream media is even remotely mentioning how peaceful these protests were\\are.

Peaceful, organized, docile, non disruptive protests are the Epstein classe's wet dream. The people in power won't care until it starts affecting their profits and quality of life.

For now. They're baiting violence. When it comes, they may get much more than they asked for. Edit: This is analysis, not a threat. Edit 2: MAGA wants the left to get violent so they can further oppress. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

No they aren't. Simply existing and excising your rights is not "baiting violence". No matter how much MAGA wants it to be.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. I meant that MAGA is baiting the left to violence. MAGA wants us to validate their BS by getting violent so they can say, "SEE!!!!". Their whole machine spun up with every assasination attempt. And then spun back down as soon as it became clear it was a MAGA shooter.

The No Kings rallies are the loudest wake up call the GOP has had in years. It’s not just fringe protesters anymore seeing 20,000 people in Austin and Columbus chanting about executive overreach shows that the 2026 Midterms are going to be a referendum on the unitary executive theory.

Wake up call yes, but not the kind that they weren't already planning to disrupt, just a road map during midterms and such. Heritage Foundation and GOP has been playing the long game for decades

The New York Times is so intent on walking the fence in this article, it's surprising that it doesn't have a fence pole stuck up its ass.

The one i attended going by the signs and those i talked to there seemed to be 3 main issues Immigration, Trans rights and no Iran war. Unlike the article where i attended it seemed to be less younger people then past rallies. That could just be skewed from where i was in the crowd. Also Marie Glusenkamp Perez is in serious trouble.

I saw a good number of younger people in Philly

From what? Primary? Not a fan but he’s in a pretty republican district. On the other hand if it’s Joe Kent on the other side pretty good chance to elect whoever is on the Dem side.

She is facing a primary challenge from the left and i feel fairly confident she will lose.

I don’t see the value in distracting from the Trump Administrations self immolation by Mideast war. But glad to see the groundswell of support for the rallies.

It doesn’t distract. It compounds.

Yeah, that above comment is Trumpcuck cope.  8 million people in the streets puts the focus on the 8 million people in the streets.

I care more about winning elections than I do protest turnout and high fiving online about it. More voters care about being dragged into an unwinnable war by an incompetent administration than they do how many people showed up to a protest in f****** April.

I just gotta laugh at this comment.  If you care about turnout, it’s a great thing to see 8 million people out long before the election.  If you really care (like me) then go volunteer to knock some doors, phone bank, and get people registered.  The No Kings protests have voter registration tables, by the way.  If you’re saying *this* about protests right now, I can safely say you’ve probably never done any of the things I listed above. And that’s fine! Now’s the time to start.  Eventually, you’ll understand why protests are important.

What a truly garbage take! It’s flabbergasting that someone would write, proof-read, and post this.

Yeah? And what exactly are you doing to “win elections”? Bro is like “ProTEstiNg iS a wAStE Of tiMe” when the enlightened of us are out there on Listnook doing the REAL work. F*** off back to your recliner coach homie. Nobody gives a damn what you think

BillyShears2015 Mar 29, 2026
How’s that been going for you during the last 6 election cycles? Nobody gave a single rat f*** about the women’s march, or even the George Floyd protests. The 2020 election went Bidens way because Trump is a walking calamity, who fucked up COVID. Let him keep f****** up Iran, it’s literally the only upside.

I’m not interested in your backward f****** lazy ass logic. You want to chill out in your living room doing f*** all other than complain. No worries lard ass, your fellow citizens are going to be out here anyway. Trying.

Aw, someone’s feeling are hurt and they have to resort to name calling. Hopefully the rest of you zoomers will actually show up at the polls instead of just marching a couple times and deciding you made a difference.

Millennial here. And I showed up. Most of the people at the marches yesterday were 40+. Indeed people with old bones and hurting backs and makeshift signs mustered up more courage and upper body strength than you. F*** off naysayer. We are showing up. We are more worried about you having better things to watch on tv that day.

Chalk it up to the usual bad actors in this sublistnook that truly are here to downplay the efforts of protestors. This place is full of them along with the usual MAGA bots that do anything to dissuade protestors from feeling empowered to change how awful this administration is.

It’s depressing how many people have handled their shame by convincing themselves that not participating was always the smart move and not a failure of their civics. And even in the face of disaster would rather lie to themselves than just get up, forgive themselves, and then do something.
