They’ll just be quiet out of fear of consequences and wait for their opportunity with the next pustulant bag of assholes to be nominated by Conservatives that they will again turn out in record numbers for.
Despite catastrophic fiscal, international, and domestic policy and they themselves being financially worse off that they were previously.
These folks fell for trickle down for forty consecutive years. They aren’t **capable** of learning. They aren’t even given anything tangible in exchange for their support, just another pointless war, higher cost of goods and services across the board and “maybe” victimizing someone they don’t like.

We need decades of deconfederization in the US. Like, yeah yeah, we have the 1st amendment, freedom of speech, apple pie and all that. Hey what the f*** are you doing with the "I love racism" flag in your yard? Like, we actually do need to tear down every "Daughters of the Confederacy" statue in the US and do something about all these nazis and their symbols.
We need to destroy private schools where all these white supremacists send their kids. We need to make all education in the country extremely well funded public schools with curriculums that actually teach the honest criminal history of the US, slavery, and the genocides it's done and is doing included. We need to make it so if a politician even whispers a single syllable of the 14 words their career is over forever.
We also need to destroy the white supremacist institutions in the country like the cops and prisons. I used to soften up my language surrounding prison and police abolitionism to not scare libs, but I can't be fucked anymore. We cannot have a future featuring cops and prisons. They are tools of white supremacy first and foremost and every day they remain around they terrorize us more. They are inherently republican institutions. Every dollar spent funding them is a dollar given to aid republican political goals.
I will die saying that prisons are a plauge upon us. They make all of us less free. They are holdovers from a bygone era that saw the chatel ownership of human beings as morally righteous. F*** the prisons.

Slavery was a permanent institution of the US until it wasn't. Gay rights were impossible to achieve until they weren't. Disability rights were impossible to achieve until they weren't. The divine right of kings was unassailable until it wasn't.

They don’t soften their language. Do I think sharp language is necessary. Yes shame them in public. Call them racist pos’s and make it clear they are the f****** problem. I agree that police have become a safe haven for supremacist nonsense. It’s gross. The few bad apples argument doesn’t hold up.

Yea ok, so how do you explain every country on earth have prisons in some form or other then? Even African/Asian countries?
Anyway, the "Abolish prison" is pretty much dead on arrival in even the bluest city. Just look how NY end up getting Eric Adams and San Francisco had their progressive DAs recalled.
Or maybe you secretly wish to keep Trump and GOP to maintain power, cause nothing would make voters rush for the reds than talk of "Defund the police and Abolish the prisons"

Generally speaking, talking to people, introducing them to new ideas and people. it doesn't always work but a lot of bigotry comes from fear of unknowns, when you make the unknown known, the bigotry usually ends too, though not always sadly.

So how is Gaza starving, specifically the children who have absolutely no say in the politics in their region? Is Hamas restricting the food and aid from reaching the children or is Israel preventing it from reaching the children?
It's not like Gaza is able to hold democratic elections where the population has a say in who represents them. It's just absolutely ridiculous to excuse these crimes against children because an authoritative terrorist group is control the area they live in.
Israel, as well as the rest of the western world, would never accept the killing and starvation of their children. There can be more than one bad party in a conflict. That does not mean everyone living in that area needs to suffer the same consequences.

Think about all the others that aren't as lucky.

I do and I looked up what happened to him and several others. He, along with hundreds of others imprisoned in CECOT, were released and returned to Venezuela. Andry Hernandez has talked about numerous beatings, being shot with rubber bullets, and being made to eat rotten food.
However, I don't know how many people extraditioned by the US remain in CECOT. The fascists in DHS have made it nearly impossible to know the state of their system.

Words crimes derive from thought crimes, and we all know thought crimes are the most egregiously invasive forms of insidious and pernicious behaviors that society has yet to inculculate us against. Oh that our children could bask in a world devoid of subtle treatchary, and instead wrap themselves in the distilled truth of the ever present here and now, without all the subjective interpretation that others have drowned themselves in.

This is what flooding the information streams looks like. This is something that was done deliberately in order to create a collective exhaustion in the population. We are all being occupied by it 24/7 soon enough there won’t be anything left to be done against it. Voting? Going away thanks to nationalization in Trumps own words “you won’t need to vote anymore”. Protesting? Who is protesting anymore not if they’re too busy with daily life to be bothered to form an opinion without it being shoved into their faces. I’m so tired of all of this and it’s not just me feeling it I know but it starts to feel like I’m the outsider, I’m just another nail that needs to get hammered in and I’m wondering when that hammer finally drops on my head.

But they aren't. They have an asylum application pending which IS legal. Nobody should be detained for that.
I have no issue with enforcing actual immigration laws, but you better be sure that's what you're doing -- not just grabbing random people off the street. Right now, ICE is NOT handling this issue correctly at all and has violated enough legal precedents that even those who could say yes, illegal immigrants need to be deported and come back the right way are stepping back. At least any who are coming from a place of good faith.
