basically a movie that made you feel as though it was a documentary based on your life.
For example, while watching Aftersun I got MAJOR flashbacks. It still haunts me. I had a parent whose complete story I'll never know and to try to understand what really drove them to do that used to watch old videos, pictures anything to be able to piece together what really caused them to do that.
I think I speak for everyone when I say Mad Max: Fury Road

Clerks.
When that movie came out, I was a surly twenty something working a low level retail job in the New Jersey burbs, just like Dante and Randall.

I grew up in SLC Ut. SLC Punk was definitely the replay of my life.

Love that movie, one of my favourite coming of age movies ever. I also worked at an amusement park for a few months, so a lot of the things shown were quite accurate (especially the low paycheck scene).

Yeah, I worked at a Six Flags park for like 8 years. 16 years old to 24. Every summer through high school, college and grad school. Adventureland was like a documentary to me. All the way down to the young woman in a relationship with the older guy except I was a young guy in a relationship with an older woman. Best years of my life and I’ve had a pretty good life even since then.

Let’s just say there are some things Scott Pilgrim does that made me shift uncomfortably in my seat.

I watched *Pollock* at \~12 and have wondered if I modeled my life after it. I kinda look like pollock/harris, am an expressionist painter, and my first wife looked like a mix of Jennifer Connelly and Marcia Gay Harden. I've managed to avoid the alcoholism for the most part though.

1 zillion percent it's 8 Bit Christmas. The parallels between that movie and my life are overwhelming. I feel like this is probably true for a lot of boys in the upper midwest who grew up in the 80s.
