Oscar red carpet reporter on Sunday, cancelled show by Thursday.  That’s a fast fall!

siftingflour Mar 19, 2026 +522
I knew nothing about any of this but I did catch a moment of her on the red carpet and I thought she looked uncomfortable when it was mentioned that she was the next bachelorette. I wonder if she knew this was coming.

8453midnights Mar 19, 2026 +412
She definitely knew. There had been reports of the existence of the video and him showing it to friends the last few weeks. I think he rightfully wanted to inflict as much public damage as possible for her behavior. It was brilliant timing wise.

VolcanoGrrrrrl Mar 19, 2026 +178
Apparently it's wasn't even him that released it. TMZ submitted an FOI a little while ago.

Ekillaa22 Mar 20, 2026 +109
Goddamn say what you want about TMZ but they get the news
109
Pupper82 Mar 20, 2026 +30
Who cares what he wanted. She was charged with a felony. That was bound to be all over the news.

8453midnights Mar 20, 2026 +8
Oh honestly you’re 100% right. I completely missed that. I also just watched the video of the bodycam footage from 2023 and it seems like he sent it to the cops right there and then. It probs came up in relation to the latest incident.
8
vernski85 Mar 19, 2026 +108
No I don't think she knew that all this would be made public. But she just had all this hanging over her head. I think she is struggling mentally and so she wasn't across as present. I also think she has a really bad public facing demeanor. She is fine doing Tik Toks but in formal media interviews. She does not come across well. Her body language, eye contact, speech. Its all awkward.
108
motorambler Mar 19, 2026 +188
She is struggling with nothing -- she's a trash person. Sometimes ya gotta give credit where credit is due, and accept that TFP is just a trash person.
188
littlemonsterlove Mar 19, 2026 +121
She has been downplayed this incident for years. Today it’s shown she hit her kid with a chair and continued going after her bf instead of helping her 5yr old. Miss “I’m known for my honesty.” Sure as hell never told her fans she hit her kid that night.

Been a week of lightning-fast cancelations (Cesar Chavez)!
6
ellsellsgg Mar 19, 2026 +1535
This is unequivocally the right decision, but let’s not forget that they already knew about the arrest beforehand- the video just hadn’t come out yet. I hope her kids are okay and safe.
1535
TexasLoriG Mar 19, 2026 +316
It goes to show how important public sentiment is.
316
NewRole7403 Mar 19, 2026 +68
Also shows that the public only expresses sentiment when there’s an exciting or outrageous video clip for them to consume
68
OwnerOfCat Mar 20, 2026 +19
Wouldn’t the public not know about this event if weren’t for the video?
19
laserswan Mar 20, 2026 +21
The incident was a plot point in the very first episode of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the show she stars in and the reason she was cast as the Bachelorette in the first place. The video hadn’t been seen, but some of the audio was in the show and there were legal consequences. It was super, super known to the public and ABC.
21
panda_pandora Mar 20, 2026 +10
It was known among people who knew who she was. It just hadn't been seen.
10
TheGoonSquad612 Mar 19, 2026 +63
Exactly. They’re cancelling it because the public found out, not because they did. ABC absolutely deserves scorn for it getting this far in the first place. The best case scenario is that their due diligence process is atrocious. The far more likely and darker situation is they knew and moved ahead because of money.
63
AnotherPint Mar 19, 2026 +43
She apparently asked her current SO to “wait for her” while she knocked off her Bachelorette obligations, meaning she went into the show in bad faith and undermined its essential looking-for-love premise, and ABC presumably knew that too.
43
DogWallop Mar 20, 2026 +26
And who the heck wouldn't want to find love with such a lovely, darling woman? "I love long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners... oh, and throwing metal furniture at romantic partners."
26
radioheadcase97 Mar 19, 2026 +7
unfortunately we already know it can’t be your best case scenario because they literally talked about this same incident on the other Disney-owned show she’s on. Disney knew, they made it public knowledge in the first place lol
7
Yardtown Mar 19, 2026 +117
The Ray Rice piece
117
MR1120 Mar 19, 2026 +110
Exact same scenario. The show wasn’t canceled because ABC saw the footage; It was canceled because WE saw the footage. Rice wasn’t punished because the NFL saw him beating his wife; He was punished because that footage went public.

23
MR1120 Mar 19, 2026 +55
Yep. The show wasn’t canceled because ABC saw the footage; It was canceled because WE saw the footage.
55
endlesschasm Mar 19, 2026 +29
They didn't give a shit that she abused her boyfriend until there was video of her literally endangering a child.
29
Cemckenna Mar 20, 2026 +14
They more than knew. The very first episode of the very first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives includes the bodycam footage of the aftermath of this same fight.  They thought this was good TV.
14
MrVociferous Mar 19, 2026 +40
Everyone at The Bachelor associated with green lighting her as the lead this season needs to be fired. The franchise will be lucky to recover from this.
40
Whisker-biscuitt Mar 19, 2026 +31
Oddly the season is already over and already all filmed. There are spoilers out there on how it ended; spoiler alert: she didn't decide to stay with the guy she picked 😄
31
MrVociferous Mar 19, 2026 +9
Done being filmed but apparently not close to done being edited. Read only one episode has been fully edited and three more are in progress.

Don't worry, she'll join the Trump administration soon enough.
35
duchess_dragonfly Mar 19, 2026 +635
People like Taylor shouldn’t have a platform. Stop making people famous just because they are physically attractive.
635
Frosti11icus Mar 19, 2026 +249
She's famous because she's terrible. She's a spectacle. She's also very deeply mentally ill. I watch that show with my wife sometimes and we know exactly what Taylor is going to do in every situation cause my wife's sister who has some combination of BPD and bipolar does all the exact same things she does. The irrationality is actually entirely predictable if you accept that she has a disease.

More like stop making toxic people famous. The amount of toxic and abusive people in reality shows is disgusting. It normalizes their shit behavior and emboldens people like them.
35
ghosttrainj Mar 19, 2026 +380
She also is not that Lol
380
liveforeachmoon Mar 19, 2026 +127
Not even close. Makes zero sense that men would want to fake fight over her.
127
MrVociferous Mar 19, 2026 +50
I mean....who wouldn't want to date a woman with three kids from two other men, that also has DV and assault history. That's the dream right there.
50
SKEPDIQ Mar 19, 2026 +71
Seriously, she's just not good looking, and seemingly yet another fake b*** abomination.
71
nightwolves Mar 19, 2026 +32
Seriously she looks annoying and fake, not pretty at all.
32

24
HudsonValley7 Mar 19, 2026 +42
Okay I’m glad someone else said it cause I’m sorry but I agree… I don’t like commenting on people’s appearances but she’s a shit person so ya she’s not attractive
42
RabbitOutTheHat Mar 19, 2026 +17
Yeah same. I didn’t want to be shallow, but she’s not attractive. And looks like a bunch of work done which IMO always looks terrible.

Chipmunk looking gal if I ever saw one
12
Harmania Mar 19, 2026 +26
C’mon. How one Earth is ABC supposed to find another TikTok influencer who gives makeup and lifestyle tips? There can’t be THAT many. It would be as hard as finding someone who streams themselves playing video games.
26
ThePracticalEnd Mar 19, 2026 +6
I don’t find her attractive at all, I think she looks like the monkey in Toy Story 3 with the cymbals all chasing Woody.
6
headhurt21 Mar 19, 2026 +17
Sadly, giving people platforms only for looking aesthetically pleasing has been the standard for ages. That's not likely to change anytime soon.
17

55

5

Why did they choose her in the first place? Should have been someone unknown. The show has already run its course and this would be a good time to end it permanently.

34
ThatGuyFromTheM0vie Mar 19, 2026 +102
ABC owns both shows. The Mormon Wives show was insanely popular while the Bachelor brand continues to die—I assume an exec said: “what if we made Taylor the Bachelorette?” And that was the extent of thinking they did.
102
Dat_Mawe3000 Mar 19, 2026 +27
It’s clear from the wives show that she has serious and persistent mental health issues. Huge fail on ABC’s part.
27
BuckZero Mar 20, 2026 +7
What’s the saying? “The Devil works hard but The Bachelor/ette Producers work harder”

It was a desperation move to begin with and I doubt they come back from this. Show is probably done.

ABC did this to themselves.

Loud_Latte_214 Mar 19, 2026 +108
THANK YOU. this was all available in 2023. Maybe not the video but the description in the court documents was available for public consumption. If ABC would just spend like..100.00 and 2 hours requesting the info they could have had this.

Took a video of her 5 year old child catching a barstool to the head (that she threw at her husband) before they canceled it.
118
Efficient_Carrot_669 Mar 19, 2026 +57
This is what the new footage is?? Oh dear, that poor baby…
57
rjcarr Mar 19, 2026 +51
Yeah, she threw like four stools at this dude, and after the first one he said her daughter was right there, and she kept doing it. That's when I stopped the video, but there was more.
51
mshike_89 Mar 19, 2026 +37
She screams at him, tells him it's her fault her daughter got hurt, and absolutely flips out when he goes to her daughter. It's disturbing.
37
PM_ME_YOUR_DALEKS Mar 19, 2026 +34
Yeah, warning the video is very triggering. She comes across as a total psycho. Her boyfriend or husband is filming on the phone he's holding as she hits him repeatedly, then jumps on him and strangles him with her arm. He gets her off him finally and starts walking away from her and says, "Just let me go, let me go," and she kicks him, then keeps follows him as he goes into a room where her little daughter is on the couch watching TV. He's going to the exit of the room and she picks up a chair and throws it at him. He yells, "Your daughter is in here, stop!" and she picks up another chair and throws it at him, but I guess it missed him and hit the daughter (from what others have said).
34
lmNotaWitchImUrWife Mar 20, 2026 +16
It gets worse from there. He repeatedly tells her to check on her daughter and instead she continues screaming at him (and from the noise, probably assaults him too but he put the phone down so we only have audio). At one point he repeatedly says that she’s drunk and needs to stop, which doesn’t deny. Then he finally goes himself to check on the daughter (who we hear crying throughout), and you hear Taylor start screaming bloody murder at him to stay away from her daughter, and he says he’s just trying to check on the daughter because he loves her kids. The police show up - you can hear him telling the police she’s drunk, which she doesn’t deny, she just says he’s drunk too (which he does deny and says he’s sober). Then the recording ends.
16
Greedy-Half-4618 Mar 20, 2026 +7
I feel so bad for her kids. All of the adults in their lives (Taylor, their dads, her mom/stepdad) all seem like SUCH emotionally immature messes

Here’s the secret: none of them are active members. They say they are Mormons for the show and for pr, but their actions don’t reflect that.
25
MaxZorin1985 Mar 19, 2026 +9
Don’t they also drink and screw around on that show? Here I thought Mormons couldn’t even drink caffeine. Mitt Romney lied to us all.
9
Various_Ambassador92 Mar 19, 2026 +9
Can't speak to the show, but as to the Mormon side of things: The original rule was no "hot drinks" (or alcohol/tobacco). Early on people would even avoid hot soup because of this rule, but that dissipated over time and the only thing explicitly prohibited under the "hot drinks" clause was coffee or regular tea (herbal tea is fine), regardless of the drink's actual temperature. Caffeine wasn't *explicitly* banned by the church but *a lot* of people would try to avoid it since they're also cautioned to avoid addictive substances or figured that caffeine was the reasoning behind the coffee/tea ban. In 2012 the church made a point to say that caffeine wasn't prohibited, probably because Mitt Romney was seen drinking diet Coke and they felt compelled to say he was still a Good Mormon, and a few years later BYU started selling caffeinated sodas for the first time since the 1950s, though they still don't sell energy drinks. tl;dr: alcohol is in fact a no-go, caffeine was historically largely avoided despite not being explicitly banned but some policy clarifications/changes and such over the past 10-20 years or so have largely done away with the taboo on caffeine.

toiletcrocodile Mar 19, 2026 +30
Mormons doesn't believe black people can get into heaven?! Why not?!
30
blareboy Mar 19, 2026 +62
Until 1978, Black people weren’t allowed to receive the Mormon priesthood or participate in Mormon temple ceremonies. Which in their theology meant none of them could go to (the top “tier” of) heaven.
62

They decided that it was bad for BYU's football recruiting. (Joking, but what if?)
13
The_Mellow_Tiger Mar 19, 2026 +8
Honestly I believe it's because their numbers were dwindling and they knew it. Very few joiners and people leaving the church.
8
Boatdude31 Mar 19, 2026 +28
They claim that the "mark" God put on Cain in the biblical story was turning him black, so all black people are descendents of Cain and not worthy. I do know the mormon church has changed their stance on this in more recent times, but that was part of the original idea. Crazy.
28
SpiritedTechnician63 Mar 19, 2026 +18
Because they’re racist… The ideology behind is that blackness is a punishment on earth and because you aren’t worthy of heaven
18
amyel26 Mar 19, 2026 +7
They didn't let black people go to their temple until 1978. They have a tiered heaven structure, righteous black people could get into heaven but only temple-worthy members could go to the highest level of the celestial kingdom.
7
Son_of_Atreus Mar 19, 2026 +8
Cause they are black. You must know the Biblical* story of the Curse of Cain that is the mark of sin shown through black skin? Morons taught that shit up to the late 70s and then flipped and said ahhh, well black people are okay now I guess but you can’t unteach generations of racist hatred with a memo created by awkward social pressure. ^(*not ^^in ^^the ^^Bible)
8
Upstairs-Wolverine41 Mar 19, 2026 +9
Wow, it’s absolutely insane that she was ever hired in the first place. They obviously knew about the past with her ex and history of DV. It wasn’t that long ago. They still have a very young child and things are extremely toxic and volatile between them. Why in the world they ever thought she’d be a good bachelor candidate is beyond me…
9
Kori_Kpow Mar 19, 2026 +11
Their social media team was working overtime during show promo about 6 months ago. Any comment about her allegations of child endangerment/domestic violence was swiftly cleaned off of any comment section in 30 seconds flat. Now she doesn't even exist on the page. Her being given a new platform never should have been a thing in the first place.
11

Called that. There was no way they could avoid it after the video came out. I’m glad they finally did the right thing, but insane that they took so long. This was ask a completely self-inflicted wound and this choice never should have happened in the first place. The Bachelor / Bachelorette franchise has been problematic for a longtime long time. Maybe it’s time for it to go.

I’ve never seen The Bachelorette but I’m aware. I’ve never heard of Taylor Frankie Paul. I know the eyes in the thumbnail well. How did the casting director not know?

I’m pleasantly surprised now SLOMW needs to fire her

blareboy Mar 19, 2026 +15
That’s likely coming. They’re also Disney.

King_Crampus Mar 19, 2026 +16
My buddy was in this season, I think he mainly wanted to use it to draw attention to his music career. Poor dude just can’t catch a break

Nashtyone Mar 19, 2026 +16
Isn't this basically why anyone shows up on these? No one is looking for love, they are looking to further their career

If Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian pioneered the influencer wave, maybe Taylor Frankie Paul is signaling the beginning of its death. Not trying to paint a broad brush and say that all influencers are abusers, but there are way too many with questionable character who are given massive platforms now. I won’t hope for it, but with more cases like this, maybe people will stop supporting content and other things that give these people a huge following.

Trash. Can’t believe they would stoop to choosing her. I’ve never seen the show but if you’re setting someone up for marriage perhaps the contestant should have some dignity at the very *least*.

MuchAligned38 Mar 19, 2026 +8
She threw a chair at her baby lol. I mean she knew the general direction in which the baby was and she still chucked that chair through the living room.

3DBass Mar 19, 2026 +9
I have no idea who she is but I just saw that video. She is 1000% out of her f****** mind. She was throwing what looked like metal stools like beach ballls. Her kid got hit. Psycho just like that OF girl that’s going on trial for murder.

FloridaPanther Mar 19, 2026 +15
She now qualifies for a position at The White House tho!

ConfidentHighlight18 Mar 19, 2026 +8
The comments on there are wild. People are defending her & accusing him of being a a narcissist. Saying he pushed her to that. Wow!! I have absolutely no words. That poor baby.

And not because it’s a vapid show full of nothingness?

King_of_the_Dot Mar 19, 2026 +5
That woman is scary looking.
5
Fandam_YT Mar 20, 2026 +6
This incident was reported when she was on season one of Mormon Wives. They are now on season *five*. She plead guilty to aggravated assault. This was very known information and ABC willingly ignored it because they knew she was a controversial figure and might draw extra attention. The network just crossed their fingers the video wouldn’t surface. F*** ABC. F*** Taylor. And f*** anybody who believes her recent “I’m actually the real victim here” statement.
6
CuriousBob97 Mar 19, 2026 +12
I love how its called a fight because the woman is the abuser 🥲

one_is_enough Mar 19, 2026 +5
Reality TV would not exist if not for attention-seeking narcissists. Anyone who has ever watched any reality TV show should know that they are encouraging these people.

MothmanIsALiar Mar 19, 2026 +4
Dude was getting beat on and they call it a fight. Misandrist, much, are we?
4
echelon1230 Mar 19, 2026 +5
Thank god. F****** trash decision to have her on. I’m not saying The Bachelor universe is a high quality one, but Jesus can we just keep ONE reality series without having it be infiltrated by these stupid sub-garbage “Mormon Wives hungry for more TikTok fame” types of trash?
5
BurritoSupremeLeader Mar 19, 2026 +5
How old was her daughter in this video??? That sounded like a baby baby cry… disgusting.
5
Ok-Caterpillar2553 Mar 20, 2026 +4
What’s crazy is everyone already knew the details of the incident, it’s public knowledge that the child got hit from the stool. But I guess seeing it makes it more real than hearing about it.

peanut-britle-latte Mar 19, 2026 +12
ABC was crazy for casting a 31-year mom of 3 with DV issues as The Bachelorette. Absurd.
12
bubba1834 Mar 19, 2026 +9
How in the f*** did they even cast someone bad enough to cancel an entire season??? Did no one do even the most basic background check???? Hopefully this helps raise awareness that woman can be abusive too.

Had an ex like this that I luckily did not have a child with... the TMZ video was like a 'Nam flashback. And where there is one video, there's multiple instances of this same type of behavior.

CaptainAHav Mar 19, 2026 +4
May it never ever return.
4
Ronaldis Mar 19, 2026 +4
Oh, so now they have standards? I was never proud of the premise of this show.
4
Ok_Selection_3952 Mar 20, 2026 +4
I’m glad consequences are coming into play. Too many times abuse against male partners is overlooked and laughed at. This guys life must be miserable!
4
IcyWonder6036 Mar 20, 2026 +4
Is it a “fight” if the other person isn’t fighting back, or is it an attack?
4
liketosmokeweed420 Mar 19, 2026 +8
whoa that video brought back WAY to many feelings of what i was dating an abusive woman, jfc yikes.
8
eat_mor_bbq Mar 19, 2026 +7
How likely is it that them "canceling" it is a publicity stunt to increase viewership?
7
Orbital_Era Mar 19, 2026 +6
My ex used to do this to me and I didn’t realize how bad the abuse was until I was in a healthy relationship. F*** you Allie.
6
sancheu77 Mar 19, 2026 +20
I saw an ad for her bachelorette and said omg she’s not even attractive. This is 1000x worse than being ugly.

That cringe show shouldn't have moved past season one.

3
HudsonValley7 Mar 19, 2026 +3
This is disgraceful and disgusting! But I have a thought… why did the video only come out now? Odd timing… feels like it was kept close to the chest until he needed it? Like this should’ve been released when it happened we could’ve cancelled her sooner.. why now when it’s convenient? I just get an icky feeling that this horrible video is being used as a tactic in their toxic relationship regardless of its outcome. I’m glad it came out just saying it should’ve been sooner
