Afroman’s music has seen a 500% increase in streaming following his legal victory over sheriff’s deputies in Adams County, Ohio, who sued him for defamation.

I remember on a trip to Europe some guy on a bus asked where in the US I was from, and I told him I grew up in Palmdale and he instantly started singing the Afroman song. It blew my f****** mind.

Literally the only positive human news story in 2026. Afroman beating the police department’s defamation case while not backing down and being hilarious all throughout has been the only smile I’ve got from a headline this year.

He's playing the kid rocks festival too. There's a video you can watch of his where he basically says he's a politician/playa (cause politician is just the white PC way to say it according to him.) He very openly talks about being a grifter and how he's all for the Republican agenda outside of hating black people and that he will do business with anyone that helps his bottom line. The dude truly has no redeeming qualities outside of his shenanigans.

Did he actually vote for Trump? According to a quick search he says that he didn't vote for Trump and I can't find any source (other than reddit comments) claiming that he did or any show of public support.

Did he vote for Trump AFTER he was raided by the police? I feel there was some racial profiling going on there as well.

I think it's pretty awesome that someone can make a career out of playing music that dumb for so long. I'm not going to listen to it, but I hope he has many more successful dumb songs in the future.

It’s just music, art, opinion. I was the right age when “Because I Got High” blew up and didn’t care for it. I still don’t, but I can clearly see his music is what he intends for it to be and you take it or leave it. Why a particular song resonates with people or not, or if people are sticking with him right now because F the police is whatever. Just know that the unspoken understanding is that his music isn’t really going for Grammy’s or mass consumption. He’s seems extremely aware and accepting of that, and so is just about everyone else. His uptick isn’t getting to his head either. Listen to him on the stand: he knows why some of his stuff is getting more attention (the case/trial). Whatever, he’s a guy trying to get paid. He probably isn’t all that bad of a dude if he trusts his ex-wife, and she is willing to do some for him.
