Well, Iran could let these humanitarian supplies through the strait to Somalia or wherever as noted in the article. They could also not attack civilian Gulf ports where the supplies are usually loaded.

It was probably fake, like many news stories about the canal; so far few ships have passed through and only from a few countries (none European, American, or Latin American, and some Asian countries).

The headline is misleading. It is not the war itself that is hindering these supplies. It is the Islamic Republic's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The Islamic Republic is singlehandedly responsible for this. They are the only ones blocking the Strait of Hormuz, which is a war crime. Nobody has the right to block an international waterway.

I agree with you. It is very understandable if they block the strait from US and Israel navy, but the issue is that the IRGC is intentionally trying to economically damage most countries in the world by blocking civilian ships.

Iran is blockading the strait by shooting missiles and drones at ships. The Pentagon has been planning this for decades. Anyone who thinks they don't have a plan doesn't know what they're talking about. I saw Retired General Jack Keane explain on TV how during his time as a general, many plans for Iran and the Strait of Hormuz were developed and the generals practiced the plans in war games many times.
