The days of a free and fair election and a peaceful transfer of power are over. There is NO WAY that Trump will ever acknowledge or accept that a Democrat-led Congress has any authority to oversee or regulate him in any way. He'll simply ignore them, or arrest them in the worst case scenario. And in 2029, there is NO WAY that Trump and the GOP is going to hand back the Presidency to a Democrat if one wins. They've already gone too far, they can't risk the Democrats taking power again. The GOP and Trump see rigging the election so they stay in power as a better, less destructive, option than allowing the Democrats to win and then having to start a civil war against a Democrat-led government. It's easier to just steal power than have to fight for it.

They're already doing that with the US. There were international election observers in the US for the 2024 election. According to what little data we've been able to glean, a good chunk - enough to probably swing the election - of them were apparently so mad that Kamala wasn't promising to save Palestine that they choose instead to try and commit national suicide rather than swallowing their pride. Among other things that got us into this mess. Each day it feels like I get a little angrier at Liberals for being so selfish and being unwilling to play the game to win that it almost feels like the Liberals are the children, not MAGA and the GOP. Like MAGA would make their kids watch them strangle their new puppy in front of them to win an election and further their overall goals, while Liberals will choose to drown themselves because they don't like the tone of the dude who threw them the life preserver.
