The article states that police contacted Richson first and he dropped the charges against this guy. Then they contact this guy and he also dropped the charges against Richson. It never says the police independently chose not to pursue charges, that would be the DA’s call, but now it obviously won’t get to that point. I mean it’s not really up to the parties, it’s at the full discretion of the prosecutor, just traditionally they’ll take parties wishes into consideration as well as cost to prosecute.

For those who aren’t aware ‘not pressing charges’ typically means the person in question isn’t cooperating with police (ie: won’t testify) and that may be all the evidence they have. In the case where police has other evidence (like video) they can and will prosecute if they feel its worth their time.

Come on this dude does NOT need a devil's advocate clutching at straws to defend what is blatantly obvious. His house was set far back he's all the way down the end of his driveway washing HIS bike with his pressure washer. If he was referring to his security cameras they would not have picked up close footage like the neighbour because his house is so far back and I didn't see any cameras on the fence that was also set back a bit from the sidewalk and would not have a good view. Also that neighbour was fully locked in with a clear stable shot of the whole scene, knew exactly when to zoom in and where to move the camera. Ronnie hearded Ritchson towards the grass strip on that house right under the window instead of his own front yard. That was not some rando who heard a commotion and ran to an upstairs window and started recording, it was perfectly stable and focused *right* when the punching started. Ronnie was claiming Ritchson ran into him. On his body cam, when Ritchson said "I could have run you down" Ronnie started yelling "you did you did!" he also claimed he assaulted him *before* he even hit him. This is SO comically blatant I honestly don't even understand why people are *still* grasping as straws to defend this guy and make Ritchson out to be the bad guy.

The full body cam footage from Ritchson is so revealing. First, he was “speeding” if you look closely at the speedometer, at 21mph. Oh, the humanity! Second, this twit staged the whole thing, waiting for kids to be there, falling to the ground in a ball screaming about Ritchson beating him up when he had walked away and was no where near the ball of poop on the ground, begging for a scene. If you hear Ritchson’s tone, he is seriously annoyed that this guy walked in front of his moving motorcycle and he says something like: I could have hurt you, *I* could have been hurt! The neighbor is constantly provoking and Ritchson is constantly retreating. But Ritchson did indeed get angry and get a few punches in. Even with that, he showed enormous restraint. He didn’t hit until the other guy looked like he was going to throw a punch. As someone said, this was a major grift. He figured out Ritchson was an actor, and didn’t like Trump (and yes, the MAGA hat in the background of *his* video lets me think this makes a difference), so he’s going to make Ritchson’s life hell and make some money doing it. Best laid plans and all that.

Part of me hopes that this is just a bit that him and Ritchson have been embroiled in for years. They're just locked in a conflict without end where they are repeatedly antagonizing one another until Ritchson inevitably beats his ass and then the cycle resets itself. It serves a mutual existential purpose that neither of them can let go of without destroying a basic part of who they are.

When I was growing up, I lived on a dead end road that had a speed limit of 25 mph. We had a neighbor, if you went past 12 miles an hour this dude would come flying out of his house, screaming about the safety of the children, please please once you think of the children. He even bought some obnoxious 4 foot tall, neon, yellow sign in the shape of a child with a slow down on it. “Someone” that I don’t know removed that from his property and replaced it in the middle of the lake across the street. Just know that that guy was a f****** idiot and the guy assaulting. This guy probably is too. Because I never once reached 25 miles an hour in that neighborhood.

We all saw the video. This guy instigated the confrontation and was the initial physical aggressor. And he didn't "drop charges" because that is not how the justice system works. Charges belong to the State not the individual. It was almost certainly sent to the District Attorney for review and they declined to prosecute.

Homeslice is lucky he wasn’t pulverized into the concrete and should be grateful he can even talk at the moment. Ritchson is a sizable human, legitimately strong, and trained in MMA… and this guy thought it would be a good idea to assault him on his bike in front of his children. Fuckstick was sent to the hospital over a pretty conservative 1-2 tap. Take the L understanding this could have been much, much worse.

So he gets to step infront of a moving bike, causing the rider to stop abruptly and put the bike down (damages) then gets to try and push the guy off the bike when the rider is trying to retreat, once again causing the rider to put the bike down (more damages) and when the rider appropriately subdued him because he was clearly the aggressor and a danger to the rider and his children, he wants money? Am I getting that correct?

If you see Richard’s video from his helmet ? You’ll see that guy is nuts. He jumped in front of Richard’s because they had the audacity to ride their bikes on the public streets. He was nasty and disrespectful to a man in front of his children and he kept getting in front of the bike trying to provoke a confrontation. I’m sure he is now trying to make believe he is the victim. He is a dumb ass who chose to step in front of a moving vehicle. He could have caused someone to get hurt by his actions.
