Even if she were in that movie, she probably would’ve only been in a couple of scenes with NTW and the gang at the start and the end.
Aside from Rob Delaney and Leslie Uggams, none of them got billed with the other stars.

The problem is her character’s power is just way too OP. How do you balance a character that is otherworldly lucky?
10
SillyGoatGruffMar 30, 2026
+40
It's a deadpool movie, why would you need to "balance" anything
40
elegantjihadMar 30, 2026
-3
Because at some point the tension of conflict resolution becomes meaningless in a narrative arc.
-3
SillyGoatGruffMar 30, 2026

It's an action comedy about 2 functionally immortal super heroes lol. You are overthinking it
19
elegantjihadMar 30, 2026
-7
Does this action comedy about 2 functionally immortal super heroes have a story? Then character development matters.
-7
SillyGoatGruffMar 30, 2026
+15
Why would a side character like her *need* character development? She could show up for a scene or two to further a joke or an action set piece and quite easily provide value to movie.
Not every character needs deep motivations/backstories/arcs
15
elegantjihadMar 30, 2026
-11
So your argument for audiences to be less discerning about character development is to justify it with a character whose sole purpose would be to either be completely throw away or serve as some kind of deus ex machina solution to a problem?
Domino ALREADY kind of does that. Having that small of a role would be redundant. Deadpool movies already have so much wackiness in them, I don’t think we need to just pack them in with more of the same. Hell, even the Deadpool movies are pretty good at crafting a coherent narrative to warrant better writing than that.
Captain Marvel was so powerful they just had to justify her non-existence in smaller conflicts by just saying “she was needed elsewhere in the universe”. I would rather a character not be limited to being deus ex machina.
-11
SillyGoatGruffMar 30, 2026
+7
There is nothing "less discerning" about recognizing characters in a movie can have a purpose other than having developed character arcs.
That's like saying you can't tell a joke unless you flesh out every person mentioned and provide them with deep and relatable motivations.
They worked domino into deadpool 2 just fine, they could have done it again like the above commenter wanted and had no issues with her being "overpowered"
7
CanvaverbalistMar 30, 2026

By having clever writers.
How can you progress as a person if you can never be hurt and are never under any risk? Being stuck in this sort of suspended animation would be really *unlucky*.
Thus she can be hurt.
From there, they can deduce that there can be worst things in life than dying, like being eternally tortured by cosmic powers that goes beyond the effect of her powers - at which point, dying would be the luckiest thing to experience.
Thus she could potentially die.
There you go, here's your stakes well cooked and all.
"But that's dumb!" that's okay, just have them lampshade it and be done with it. "So your power isn't just purely to be lucky, you actually have the power of narrative convenience!? Ok **now,** ***that*** is lazy writing. Wink wink fart fart hehe"

If Domino feels suicidal for a second does she instantly get struck by lightning?
2
CanvaverbalistMar 31, 2026
+1
That's how I'd write it, actually (well, not the lightning, but the depression part).
Whatever the plot of Deadpool 4, he thinks "oh hey, easy, I'll go get the 'magically get it done through the power of bullshit' girl and be done with this in an hour and back on time to finish Heated Rivalry" and he goes to Domino, who's just a mess and totally depressed. He's like "oh I'm sorry, is having the best super power in the world just not good enough for you?" and she says, "Yeah well be careful, cause I'm *really* craving ice cream right now" and Deadpool goes "what does that have to d---" as an ice cream truck crashes through the deli downstairs, Deadpool is shocked but she just casually walks downstairs as people are screaming, panicking left and right, running away, the driver steps out bleeding, stumbles a little and falls on the ground. She grabs a cone from the truck, on fire, "See what I mean?"
"Well, no, not really, I don't really understand how getting ice cream whenever you want woul--"
"Ok then just punch me."
"What!?"
"In the face. Just punch me."
"I'm not gonna punch you in the face."
"No, I *know* you're not gonna, that's my point. Just *try* and do it"
"Girl, there are better way to deal with depression than self-harm and mutilation, unless you're a teenage girl who's really into My Chemical Romance then I'd sugge--"
"No, Wade, I'm trying to make a point here. You're *not gonna be able* to punch me. Cause you see, there's never any repercussions for me, I can do whatever I want and never have to pay for it, I'm slowly... I'm slowly turning into you Wade, an a******."
"Ok now that's just rude there's no rea--"
"JUST PUNCH ME"
"I'M NOT GONNA PUNCH A BLACK WOMAN IN THE FA--"
"YOU'RE SUCH A F****** D*** WADE NO WONDER VANESS--"
"KEEP MY WIFE'S NAME--" Wade punches Domino square on the nose. "--WHAT THE F***!?"
Domino is shocked, holding her face, her nose bleeding. Deadpool is wildly gesticulating, "WHY WOULD YOU MAKE ME DO THAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU DODGE?"
"...dodge? Oh my god, Wade! OH MY GOD! You did it, you magnificent a******, you did it!"
"You *asked* me to do it! We've got that on camera, right? Please tell me you guys got her asking me on camera, she's the one who--"
"No I mean, that's it! That's the solution! You're the solution! I'm coming with you."
"What!? No! I need the "bad guy breaks his neck because he stepped on a banana peel" super powered girl, not the "chub down a gallon of ice cream crying with a faceful of blood cause she can't even dodge a punch" girl, forget it."
"But don't you see? The moment I was depressed and needed to reassess who I was, BAM you're on my doorstep, punching me in the face--"
"That's not really how it went--"
"You're exactly what I need to learn the... uh... the consequences of my actions!"
"That doesn't even make sense. If you getting punched is just your power manifesting to get you what you want because what you want is to not get what you want, how's that gonna teach you anything about humility? If anything, I shouldn't be getting you what you want and should be saying no right now."
"YES! EXACTLY! You get it! I'll just tag along, just keep being annoyed at me."
"Well that's just *my* luck. If I wanted someone gnawing at my nuts all day I'd just go get Squirrel Girl. Alright, but learn how to dodge a punch at least, cause if the luckiest thing the lucky girl could do in my presence was just to... drop dead then that wouldn't be very good for my reputation."
"What reputation?"
"Oh, haha, really funny. I see how you really need that humility lesson now."

I didn’t like it as much after Season 2. It went from a comedy with surreal elements to a surreal show with comedic elements.
Plus, the final two seasons felt like Season 4 of Arrested Development. You can tell they were having scheduling issues behind the scenes, because the cast was rarely together anymore. They were often fragmented and shot in singles/pairs, and the overall vibe suffered as a result.
The actors got too famous, and the show got a bit worse for it 😭

Chris is a good actor he just limits himself. In Crime 101 he refused to do the love scenes. The abrupt edits ruined the scenes.
This book Kockroach has a lot of sex scenes. Will he do them?
Aside from that, I cannot see him as an Italian wiseguy. The Kockroach - literally a bug wakes up as a human - goes from gangster to businessman.
I agree he needs a new agent. He is wrong for this part. There is NO WAY he can pull off a NY gangster accent.

For what? Firing a gun someone gave him and told him to shoot?

GrandMasterBullsharkMar 31, 2026
What about rushing the armourers to reload the gun, or ignoring the numerous complaints about safety onset, or the cost cutting measures he pushed for as a producer.

You know nothing about proper gun safety by your reply

Every gun is loaded. Always.
He knew the gun was loaded. It was supposed to be. At a certain point you can’t expect actors to be more experienced than the experienced gun experts onsite, this was entirely the fault of the person who gave him the gun.

Maybe, but the prosecution messed up. If they really cared about the victim they should have done a better job

It’s crazy how easily he was forgiven for killing someone, but Chappell Roan is literally Satan for being mean to a child.

Do you think if it’s funny if the rest of the cast shows up on the first day of the shoot wearing bulletproof vests?

He shot someone. Yeah he didn't have a finger on the trigger, but he was producing the film and didn't check the potentially loaded real firearm on set. It's his responsibility to do that and not point a gun at a person!
Even prop guns you don't aim at people unless you are 1000% sure it's safe.
-17
Alternative-Juice-15Mar 30, 2026

No, it isn’t his responsibility. You are clueless. Shut the f*** up.

Can't even refute what I said. He was irresponsible and it got someone killed.

He was a producer on set who was made aware multiple times of the ongoing safety issues on set and ignored them
Do I think he should go to prison for decades over this? No, he clearly had no intention of shooting her, but do I think he's innocent? Absolutely not

If you want to hate Baldwin, fine, but at least learn the facts before you spout off with an uneducated opinion.
There were nearly a dozen producers on the movie, and Baldwin had nothing to do with hiring her. His producer credit was for script and funding only. Hiring the armorer was not his job.

bolerobellMar 30, 2026

He didn’t do the hiring. The line producer and production manager hired Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. That came out in the trial. Baldwin’s role was creative, not administrative. He helped develop the story, he helped hire the lead actors and he secured funding.
Pay attention to all the facts if you’re going to be critical.

You can point a gun at a person in a movie as long as you are 100% sure it is rendered safe. He did not and someone died. He was incompetent, and as producer, should have had safety top of mind.
To me, a multi-millionaire got away with murder.
