so far daycare, TSA and recently food pantry’s have been stopped or scrapped. the cost of this ‘not a war’ could have paid all 3 for about ~3 years and counting

This BS statement sounds like it's against the right, but is actually supporting one of their key positions: The lie that you have to pick between military and social services. Israel spends a larger percentage of their government's budget / GDP on their military than the US\*\*, with US military aid being on top of what they're already spending. Let THAT sink in. They can manage free healthcare even while spending a larger percentage of their budget on military endeavors than we are. There is no either/or - the US being so far behind on such matters is pure, very intentional, mismanagement of our tax dollars. This is completely false. Look at the amount of US aid to Israel, and look at their government budget (both are freely available). They spend significantly more on both than what the US sends them. And the money we send them would certainly not be enough to pay for our own healthcare. They spend plenty of money on both healthcare and military.

She had one dog shit vote on an amendment to a bill which she ultimately voted against. There's never been a bill to send weapons to Israel that she's voted in favor of because they all included "offensive" weapons. I don't like how she voted on that one amendment, but now she's improved her position and she is among the best lawmakers in Congress. It may not be a high bar, but she's not a villain.

That's precisely the reason. Its unfavorable *now* because of the sudden rise of anti-Israel sentiment so they have to pretend to be against this war. I keep saying this the only reason Democrats are against this war is because Trump didn't sell it convincingly like Bush or Obama or Biden. He should've done a consistent WMD approach like Bush or "beheaded babies" like Biden. (Obama did it for the love of the game discretely while keeping a charismatic facade) Democrats were using double speak at the start of the war and now their tone has shifted. Same with the European allies. They were strong supporters of the invasion of Iran but now they have to oppose it.

There is a sample size of 2. Clinton did win the popular vote by 2 points and millions of votes. Harris failed, but she was set-up to fail; also, "Bidenomics" as a brand did her no favors. Maybe folks will recognize what an absolute disaster Republican governance has been and vote for someone like AOC. She absolutely is so much more real than Clinton or Harris, and that's what people want. When people talk about appealing to the mythical center, I think they underestimating how much politics is defined not by policy, but by vibes, and the AOC vibes are excellent.

At this point Republicans are exceeding my expectations on how shit they can be so I wouldn't be surprised if a woman won the presidency. Honestly Bernie should try to do one last run as president if he can and AOC as his vp so when Bernie dies in office she will become president. That way we finally would get a woman president.

I think Americans were ok with funding Isreals Iron Dome when the perception of Israel was that it was an ally that needed help.
