Fake news.
It was just rumors.
And it was expected.
Learn to search and to look for sources.
Watch the visit of the pope, it was amazing.
People welcomed him as brother.
PS : His visit to Algeria is not political. It’s to visit the land of Saint Augustin, he was born in Algeria and died in Algeria and his grave is in Algeria.
And he visited Churches there and Christians an nobody said a bad thing about Algeria. Sisters, Priests, Servants, Christians, everybody talked good about their life in Algeri.
Don’t listen to media ffs, it’s 2026

Who could have guessed that going into an islamist country as a christian religious leader is a bad idea?

Oh damn it was a different pope that managed to do it once without incident. Any source on if there was no attempt or that it was stopped?

And they usually historically lived in, what people today would call apartheid states. They are fine with subservient Christians….and that was always the case. People love to ignore the Jizya and why it existed, or the periods of violence against religious minorities, when the “community is threatened”. This is why the only real form of fair governance are pure secular ones. You literally can't be tolerant and have systems like that in place. The only debate is how much you are f****** over those minority communities not if.
