Came here for this. The m*********** oppressed all of humanity for 4500 years and he doesn't even get mentioned?

To be fair he did become a giant worm in trade.

I always love seeing these announcement posts that say “this is not the AMA”, then scrolling down to see all the questions from people who clearly didn’t read the post 🤣
Excited to hear James’ perspective on his roles, I’m a huge fan and he’s got such crazy range I’ll watch pretty much anything he’s in.

I could copy & paste "this is NOT the AMA" 45 times and people would still ask questions haha. It's all good, that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Plus, when it actually does go live, I reply to people that asked questions in the announcement post to let them know to move their questions over, so at least it's a reminder-setter.

I swear I developed a whole personality around watching Split for the first time 😭 I went in thinking it was just another thriller and left questioning every interaction I’ve ever had… and now I lowkey want to ask him why I still don’t trust people who say “I’m fine” 😅

Amazing actor, for sure one of my favourites, I could be somewhat biased as we are both Scottish! :D
In truth I love his range as an actor, I do much prefer him in roles such as 'Split', 'Glass' and 'The Last of King Scotland' than the X-Men movies.
What movies did he enjoy making the most though?

Yup. The scenes near the end, vulnerable with Daddy and then his confidence in the fight scene, I was like, "oh, this kid is going to be a star."

The different personalities in Split portrayed by you are MIND-BLOWING. Have you been inventing their behaviors and expressions or they’d been written this way?
Either way, I can’t think of anyone else being able to deliver them the way you did. The work of an absolute Master. 🔥❤️

*Atonement* was one of my favorite films of his. I also liked watching him as *Cyrano de Bergerac* during a special Fathom event. *The Last King of Scotland* was also great. I need to revisit these movies. I hope he does more historical films in the future.

I think you did a pretty good job with Speak No Evil despite me not liking it that much because nothing can really come close to the feelings I had watching the original movie. What is your thoughts on remakes and do you think Hollywood have gone to far at times with them?
I must say I loved your performance in Glass and especially in Split. You where so impressive with all those different personalities. I also think you did a terrific job in IT. While there where some that said the second film was "worse" than the first I actually think it was maybe a tiny bit better, so that's my hot take.
I look forward to seeing you in more movies!
Hope you have a great day.

Did you base all of your personalities on outside influence or personal for Split?
Did you shoot each personality scene back to back or were you in the situation where you had to swap personalities all the time? Meaning you shot one personality and then the next scene with the same or one scene then swap then one scene then possibly swap again?
If you ever need someone to read lines with, hit me up. Hey, ya never know right?

Looking back at your directing process for this film, how do you feel?
- Did your acting experience give you so much exposure to directors that you had enough to pull from?
- Or did you still need to build your process as you went through pre production, shooting, and editing?
Congrats on the debut!
