It cut out in OT with the game super close for almost 5 minutes . Amazon has a lot of stuff problems with their nba stream including audio being ahead of the action which results in the announcers spoiling baskets because they say it’s good before you see it go in . It’s atrocious .

The only way this gets better is if we stop watching. Boycott this terrible product.

> The only way this gets better is if we stop watching. Boycott this terrible product. Literally doesn't matter. They paid for the rights, they have the rights. Money talks and bullshit takes the bus.

Money talks…Exactly so stop spending money on Amazon and Netflix and they won’t spend Billions for exclusive streaming. If you support those businesses when their product quality is c*** there will be no incentive to improve the quality.

Every sports bar will still pay for the games, they don't need your money, they can afford to wait it out.

funguy07 Apr 16, 2026 +2
Out of curiosity what percentage of NFL fans are watching in a sports bar vs at home vs in the stadium?

It's a good point. And I agree with the boycott. But corporations have way more pull than me or you, and they don't need to cater to the public when everything is done with monopoly money. If you were to go back in time and find a way to get $10,000 per hour for every hour since 500 BC, you still wouldn't have as much money as Jeff Bezos has today. It's just an insane amount of money. And with people like him or Musk, i’m not sure they give a shit to what the peasants think.

Good for you for realizing that "the bankers" have been inflating access to money (creating a new technoclass) since the 1980's, but are holding down the wages of people who labor for their paycheck.

I get your point but Bezos is wealthy beyond beliefs because we use Amazon to deliver c*** we are too lazy to go to the store for. His business was built by selling to us. So even if I think Amazon should be broken up (I do) I’m not going to blame Bezos. “We” did this when we made Amazon our primary delivery service and when we agreed to pay $18 a month for Amazon Prime. If we stop supporting these business models that reduce the quality of the products we buy and consume they will adapt or go out of business. See the history of Sears for example.

> Money talks…Exactly so stop spending money on Amazon and Netflix and they won’t spend Billions for exclusive streaming. I have never subbed to Netflix and stopped paying for Amazon a couple of price hikes ago. oh wow, they are still bajillion dollar companies. Amazing. Voting with your wallet doesn't work. The only thing that works is strictly enforced regulation with actual penalties and accountability.

Have you tried having a bigger wallet?

Yeah I suppose if you buy the company you could change it

Give the stream to Hooli.  Nucleus is the future.

Can’t boycott if you never bought it to begin with. Only suckers who bought in the first place are in need of boycotts. I couldn’t give a shit now since i *never* gave a shit lol.

If enough people thought like you we wouldn’t be nickle and dimed with c*** production value.

Good to know it's not just me. I didn't even try to watch the last minute or so. Hope they get this shit figured out for the real playoffs.

The more money the hyperscalers dump into AI the less they spend on products we use. The decline in Amazon, Google and Microsoft's consumer products is noticeable.

Kinda makes those “40% of our code was made by AI” statements sting a little more. Reliability is down across the board. Shit, GitHub is under 90%, which is laughable

I was pissed having to even use prime to watch it, then this shit happened.

The audio feed has been slightly ahead of the video on these Amazon games for the entire season. It's absolutely ridiculous that a company with as many resources as Amazon pays billions for these games and can't even get the audio fixed the entire season. It's not like some secret either, almost all of the NBA commentators I listen to have bitched about it extensively. Another thing with Amazon's sports broadcasts which has been happening to me as long as they've had Thursday Night Football, is that the Prime app on my apple TV is almost unusable for these, horrible buffering, choppiness, half the time its so pixelated it looks like a cartoon or an acid trip. This is only on my Apple TV. When I load it up on the build in LG app on my TV the picture is fine.

The broadcast in the 4th quarter was very choppy for me. It wasn't even as quality

I don’t mind the random in season games on streaming but streaming platforms with exclusive rights to air playoff games is f****** bullshit.

Meanwhile the grey area sites let you choose your network, language, play picture in picture, pause, rewind, and don't show you ads. For free.

It cut out as a tornado warning came through where I live lol

Okay I was watching in the living room and decided to go to my bedroom. When I turned on the tv in bedroom, I assumed I couldn’t watch because it stopped streaming after broadcast ended in regular time. Question: does prime continue streaming in OT if you just tuned into OT?

surely wouldn't have anything to do with laying off thousands of talented programmers in favor of a few overworked programmers expected to pump out AI slop at 100000000x efficiency

It’s not convenient though? What do you mean it’s convenient? Give your comments a double check… not difficult. Takes 2 seconds.

Someone on their broadcast production team is going to be canned. How embarrassing.

Yes lol, it's the first play-in, the game was in overtime. It went viral on Twitter the moment it happened.

Glad that I dont have to suffer watching through NBA for these games! Edit: I meant suffer through watching on Amazon Prime. Don’t have the same issues the US has with sports games on random streaming sites.

tinyrickstinyhands Apr 16, 2026 -2
No one "has" to. People who like it choose to. This been Intro to Critical Thinking.

HackMeRaps Apr 16, 2026 +1
I don’t have to because I don’t live in the US. We luckily don’t really have to do deal with streaming companies having live sports. It’s on our normal channels.  I watched the game and had no issues.

For real. Most uninteresting out of the big 4 leagues and it’s not even close.

fukdatsonn Apr 16, 2026 +1
Lol it’s not even close? I mean that might be your opinion but numbers disagree with you. You sound bitter (or NHL fan 😂).
