As a Brit...deeply offensive too. Your temo-king needs to be deposed and undergo the same treatment as certain members of the Royal family here too. Get out for the No King's guys. Good luck.

No Kings needs to evolve into something more confrontational and persistent if its ever going to have an effect. Asking nicely every few months isn't going to cut it. Pro tip: if you can bring your kids and your dogs to a protest, the powers-that-be will feel very comfortable ignoring your movement.

"It was plain as day. We should have had the goon squad running the cafeteria the whole time! You've never tasted potatoes like these before. Hey, look at the nuts on that squirrel!"

It's more accurate to say the U.S. has become a dangerous nation. I wish the media wasn't so inaccurate in using "America". It's an entire continent, and the U.S. is only part of it.

Slowly waking up, are we America?

Has become implies it happened in the past at some point. I don't think most Americans realise how far back in the past the rest of the world thinks it happened.

Its always been an Rogue nation, ask the Native Americans or the Africans who were kidnapped for the transatlantic slave trade, or Mexico when it lost half its nation to the imperialist lust of the Americas, or Vietnam, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, or Chile, or Cuba, or Lybia.

The issue is that "safety" in America is now entirely dependent on your zip code and which news channel you watch. We’ve traded a shared sense of reality for a constant state of hyper-vigilance. It feels less like a unified country and more like fifty different social experiments running at the same time, and nobody is happy with the results
