>What we don't know: >Police have not explained how Webber, a quadruple amputee, was able to drive a car or fire a weapon.  Don't put out that headline and leave us hanging. The lack of closure is unsettling.

Wonder if it's like the paraplegic guy who was arrested for kicking down a door? Lady says an ex-boyfriend came over and kicked in her door, then fled on foot. Officer arrests a guy confined to a wheelchair for the last 25 years for the crime... [https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2025/10/23/college-park-officer-off-force-after-falsely-arresting-wheelchair-bound-man/](https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2025/10/23/college-park-officer-off-force-after-falsely-arresting-wheelchair-bound-man/)

These amputee crimes are getting out of hand

EvergreenThree Mar 27, 2026 +1
Except in this case, the quadraplegic guy posted a video of himself on youtube firing a gun using his residual arms. So he is entirely capable of shooting someone.

“You don’t have the balls.” Last thing my aunt said to her husband before he shot her to death. It was Arkansas in the 70’s so he got like three years.

lostroadrunner22 Mar 23, 2026 +38
Or play cornhole!
38
corrosivecanine Mar 23, 2026 +36
I mean I’m a lot more inclined to believe a quadruple amputee that can play cornhole professionally is capable of murdering someone with a gun than your average everyday quadruple amputee.
36
DolphinRodeo Mar 24, 2026 +12
https://www.today.com/health/essay/dayton-webber-professional-cornhole-rcna95307 He wrote a piece a few years ago where he referenced both driving and hunting, so presumably he can both drive and shoot a gun with whatever his setup is
12
backdoc983 Mar 23, 2026 +10
Or, like, you know, throw a cornhole bag?
10
TripleSingleHOF Mar 23, 2026 +65
Sidenote: P********** featuring quadruple amputees is known as "nugget p***".

I am going to take your word for that, because I sure as hell am not going to google it.

denNISI Mar 23, 2026 +25
I'll do it. Yeah, it is true! Wow, really didn't need to see this...
25
DoubleBlackBSA24 Mar 23, 2026 +21
I checked your comment history. Needless to say, I feel let down. I'm more curious how a seemingly vanilla comment history has led to this chaotic p*** fact.
21
TripleSingleHOF Mar 23, 2026 +43
One of my first jobs in high school was working at a pizzeria whose owner was, for lack of a better term, a degenerate. He drank beer all the time and had stashes of random p*** magazines all over the kitchen. And I'm not talking Playboy/Penthouse, I'm talking the raunchy ones - Club International, 40+, 50+, Swank, High Society, Perfect 10, among others. One time when was on one of his drunken rants, he lamented that the p*** he really liked was hard to find, and is it really that hard to "find a little nugget p***"? When I stared at him with a blank face, he said "What you've never seen nugget p***? With no arms and legs, they look just like little chicken nuggets!" Needless to say, I learned a lot about the world in the couple years I spent working there.
43

I saw a sign advertising "stump grinding" with a phone number. I wasn't sure if this was lap dances \*for\* amputees or \*from\* amputees, and I'm too shy to call.

1
CombatMuffin Mar 23, 2026 +6
You don't need to be the person doing the actual killing to be charged with murder. On a slightly less somber note: after seeing videogame players with disabilities absolutely smash Elden Ring with accessibility controllers... I'd give the benefit of the doubt until I hear the evidence.

10

His youtube channel showcases exactly that: [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0QmPjTkX70Q](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0QmPjTkX70Q) They also make car adaptations to allow vehicle control as it seems he's got pretty good control of whats left of his appendenges
36
azsnaz Mar 23, 2026 +4
I dont understand how he's pulling the trigger
4
wyvernx02 Mar 23, 2026 +13
Looks like he's got a little nubbin that he uses.
13
GrapeAyp Mar 24, 2026 +5
I was thinking maybe just the friction from pressing into the side of his arm bone(I’m no boneologist)
5
Fluttermun Mar 24, 2026 +7
I'm glad I'm not the only one that refers to them as nubbins.
7
SuperGameTheory Mar 23, 2026 +10
Apparently he was driving with two people in the back, too. Three total people trusted their lives to a quadriplegic behind the wheel...
10
ArchMageGeorgie Mar 24, 2026 +7
His car would have to be modified to allow him to drive it and any person with a child car seat can tell you the car seat doesn’t come out unless there are no other alternatives. It is likely very inconvenient to disable this setup to allow a person with all their appendages in tact to drive.
7
Mondofrog Mar 23, 2026 +5
I didn't think I needed to see that, but now I'm glad I did.

> A professional cornhole player with no arms and legs has been accused of murder in La Plata. Don't let your dreams stay dreams (unless it involves murder). I have many questions that this article does not answer.

A true crime documentary on Netflix with a clever name like “Look Ma, No Hands: The Amputee Corn Holer Murder” is in order.

Oscar Pistorius all over again. But more confusing as to, and I’m sorry to finish this sentence this way, the execution.
8
azsnaz Mar 23, 2026 +8
He had arms and hands though
8
kolkitten Mar 23, 2026 +36
I gotta hear an explanation of how this guy shot that guy
36
dwilkes827 Mar 23, 2026 +31
Another commenter in this post shared this, but believe it or not we can see exactly how this specific dude would fire a gun lol https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0QmPjTkX70Q
31
kolkitten Mar 23, 2026 +1
I suppose I don't know how much limbs he has. I'm thinking like at the shoulder with nothing but he could be at the elbow I guess
1
dwilkes827 Mar 23, 2026 +28
No, I mean the guy in that youtube link I posted is actually the same guy the article is about lol
28
kolkitten Mar 23, 2026 +5
Oh shit I didn't know then yea I suppose he could have done that shit
5
PaidUSA Mar 23, 2026 +7
I’m sorry was the victim letting him roll around and get setup?
7
Luniticus Mar 24, 2026 +3
I believe his last words were, “what are you going to do, shoot me?”
3
sadrice Mar 24, 2026 +2
If you saw a quadruple amputee messing with a gun, would you actually think they were going to pick it up and shoot you? I might’ve more confused than afraid.
2
ArchMageGeorgie Mar 24, 2026 +5
Plus in the video he spends most of his time loading the gun. You don’t load a gun in front of your intended victim when you are going to merc someone. You come preloaded ready to go. The issue with having no appendages when committing a crime like this is there is almost no doubt about it’s premeditation because you have to premeditate anything to be able to overcome the extreme limitation you have in life.
5
Lying_virgin_ta Mar 24, 2026 +1
Counterpoint: if he had a ccw for self defense purposes, why would he carry an unloaded gun? Seems like one of the best cases for keeping a round in the chamber tbh.
1
Organic_Award5534 Mar 23, 2026 +19
The fact that he’s an amputee cornhole player probably explains some of it
19
kolkitten Mar 23, 2026 +27
See that just opens more questions
27
jlees88 Mar 23, 2026 +2
I just watched a video of him throwing bags and there’s nothing special to it. He holds the bags with his two wrist/nubs and then to throw, he flings the bags and thrusts his body. Still no idea how he could fire a gun much less drive a vehicle.
2
Trep_xp Mar 23, 2026 +5
You're correct; he would have to have very accurate aim
5
Bobaximus Mar 23, 2026 +3
I mean, it wasn’t exactly an absurdly accurate grenade toss…

https://youtube.com/shorts/0QmPjTkX70Q?si=6Ci_xlsQWQ-GUilN  Video of him shooting a gun
16
skippyspk Mar 23, 2026 +7
This video will single-handedly blow up his defense.
7
Lying_virgin_ta Mar 24, 2026 +2
He has a wear/carry permit from Maryland. He already passed a live fire test so his capacity was never in question.
2
skippyspk Mar 24, 2026 +1
Sure, names on forms and permits is one thing, but a video exhibit that shows him loading and firing is MUCH more convincing, at least to a layperson like me
1
the_archaius Mar 23, 2026 +4
Ok, so I stand corrected! Maybe he can shoot a gun and drive a car.

I'm wondering how they arrested him. Did they cuff him? Stuff him in a sack?
9

Every few months I read a crazy headline, I'm glad this one hit my feed this quarter. Edit: I am in fact not glad someone is dead, that sounded bad.
17
Agentkeenan78 Mar 23, 2026 +7
Everyone's concerned about how a quadraplegic is committing murder, but I'm interested in how he plays cornhole.

This guy needs the literal doctor from Arrested Development as his defense attorney. "You see, my client could not have committed this murder, because he was and is unarmed."

10
MagicPistol Mar 23, 2026 +2
I saw the video of him playing cornhole. He puts his arm stumps together to hold the bag and toss it. I have no idea how he would fire a gun that way.
2
masta030 Mar 23, 2026 +8
He has a video of himself on YouTube loading, aiming and firing a pistol, someone linked it in response to top comment

2

2

2

This is a headline straight out of GTA.
2
Douglasqqq Mar 24, 2026 +2
"Accused of murder" is the half of this headline that I understood.
2
Strong-Log-7095 Mar 23, 2026 +6
"What we don't know: Police have not explained how Webber, a quadruple amputee, was able to drive a car or fire a weapon. " Yeah, if I'm on that jury I'm pretty sure I'd want that answered pretty quickly. Listen, I'm sure this person found a way, and there are adaptations for amputee's or people without leg control to drive a car. And probably fire a gun. I'm not a lawyer. Can't practice law legally anywhere. But I would drop everything I'm doing in life, go to law school, pass the bar, and practice law solely to be this person's defense lawyer and spend the entire trial wildly pointing to my client, who has no arms and no legs, and make funny quizzical faces everytime they accused them of this crime. Prosecutor: "Then the defendant fired the gun and drove away. We later found the victim in a field." Me: (wildly gesticulates at my client while making confused faces and shrugging my shoulder's dramatically.) "Case closed!"
6
Dumetella Mar 23, 2026 +7
Unfortunately for his defense team, the suspect has a [video posted on his youtube page](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Qb9HD9viKpw) that shows exactly how he may have committed this crime.
7
HumansNeedNotApply1 Mar 25, 2026 +1
That doesn't answer how he was driving and was able to shoot the guy at the same time without crashing the car and apparently there were two other people in the car. What a weird story.
1
Dumetella Mar 25, 2026 +1
Yeah I'm still stuck on the fact that, in a car with 3 other assumedly able-bodied people, the person driving was the guy with no limbs. This is one of those headlines that I'll randomly think about for weeks.
1
Lying_virgin_ta Mar 24, 2026 +2
>Yeah, if I'm on that jury I'm pretty sure I'd want that answered pretty quickly. Does the explanation really need to be that robust when there is going to be a mountain of evidence against him? Its gonna be pretty clear that Wells got killed in the passenger seat of Webbers car by someone in the driver seat with a gun if thats how it happened. The driver seat was probably heavily modified so its not like he can say he was in the backseat at the time of the murder.
2
Thunderosa Mar 23, 2026 +3
Wow, what a headline. Can't be improved.
