Right. He's bringing oil to Yemen. AP doesn't mention, but because Yemen is Iran's ally, Iran approve this shipment. The route doesn't reach the US blockade.

It’s right in the article.
Al-Jubouri has been on board his tanker, the Palau-flagged Sea Moon, for four months. Currently he and his crew are sailing from the Gulf of Aden toward the Gulf of Oman to unload oil at Ras Isa port in Yemen. He spoke to The Associated Press by phone

Where does it mention that Yemen is Iran's ally? That's a relevant fact. The captain probably has received permission from Iran.

Excellent important point. Not everyone in this feed reads other replies that provide important relevant facts. It's like you need to copy and paste your info to EVERY. Single. Reply. Sheesh. 😒

Looking at a map also helps. It might not be intuitive otherwise that, unlike the big GCC players, iran can just use it's coast along the Gulf of Oman to reach the open sea, without needing to go through the strait.

How does this sentence make any sense?
Ras Isa is on the Red Sea coast of Yemen. Sailing from the Gulf of Aden towards the Gulf of Oman is going in the opposite direction. Are they currently going to fill up with oil and then will head back to Ras Isa?

The Iran-Iraq 2003 security seems to be holding, there have been no attacks between the two nations. I think Iran will win this war and control the gulf. I think Iraq may join with Iran, the USA did destroy their country and still controls Iraq oil imcome. Iraq will get the province of kuwait back, and well suited to be the only real arab republic in the middle east going forward.

Serious question: so he’s sailing uninsured ship?
How does this make any financial sense? Ships are insured for a reason and when insurance refuses to insure you simply stay in port right?
