I've been coding side projects after work for the past few months and there's something about 11pm-2am where my brain just clicks into a different gear. No notifications, no meetings, no distractions. Just me, my code, and lo-fi beats.
The weird part is I'm not even a night owl normally. During the day I struggle to focus for 30 minutes straight. But at night I'll look up and 3 hours have passed and I've built an entire feature.
Anyone else experience this? What's your most productive time of day and what do you do during it?
Once my 4 year old is in bed sleeping, the house is finally quiet and yes, I can better focus on painting or crafts or journaling. It's so peaceful and no constant interruptions. I agree it hits different at night!

I don’t remember specifically but there is a scientific reason for this “shift”. Anyway I feel you bro, I’m a photographer and post-processing hits different after 10pm

I love nighttime. I feel so much calmer and focused after 9 or 10pm. It's like the world just feels clean and clear.
I often do my best house cleaning and laundry in the middle of the night.

Yes! but instead of building something, it's cleaning for me.

late night just feels quieter in your head too, like nothing’s pulling at you. i get that same zone feeling when everything else is kinda shut off. downside is next day me always regrets it a bit lol

Yeah, night building just feels quieter in your head too, not just around you. No pressure to reply, no noise, just space to think.
