Anyone watched Forever on prime?

What was your takeaway from the show forever? For me, it started off with experiencing grief, but ended in an abrupt way. Did I miss the point?

I didn't watch it, but I'm guessing it ended abruptly because it was cancelled. The same way the majority of shows end.
