Arctic sea ice hits lowest winter level as unprecedented heat smashes records all over Earth
The sea ice is crucial to Earth’s climate because without it reflecting sunlight, more heat energy goes into the oceans. Ice of all kinds around the poles acts as Earth’s refrigerator.

Even if people debate causes, the trend itself is hard to ignore. The direction has been pretty consistent for decades.

May I present to you the arctic death spiral? https://www.arcticdeathspiral.org/

Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 +5
Well that should get everyone's attention. BTW...they are moving on...it's micro plastics now.

But the average human being blamed at times, and turning off the plugs and tap when not in use is a tiny percentage of the problem compared to huge companies that are actually to blame that don't give a f***. A small percentage of the population could make a massive difference but have no intention to. I'm not going to feel guilty for anything whilst the people who are actually to blame don't care.

Scientists don’t debate causes. Unprecedented changes are happening and they are entirely man made. That’s the universal consensus.

My kids are so screwed. No wonder all these kids are so misinformed. This world is too heavy to handle for many now.

One-Incident3208 Mar 28, 2026 +3
https://www.arcticdeathspiral.org/ You are also screwed.

I'm alright with death. Had a great life. I'm leaving them a good chunk of dough and a business but I feel that's not enough if the planet is on fire.

SqueezerOfFarts Mar 28, 2026 +3
You "feel"?
3
____DEADPOOL_______ Mar 28, 2026 +3
I'm a prepper and have been doing this for 15 years, I moved my family to the farming boonies in Australia from Texas. Our house is fully off grid, we have our own water and sewage system. We are in a cooler place where we can take a 10' temp change. I've set everything up for them. My only concern are extreme weather events at this point. My place is made of solid brick and has withstood severe storms and earthquakes but who knows. I've got physical gold and silver to last a while. Big property where I can farm but have lots of contacts and a huge array of survival stuff to barter with. I've also integrated myself with the community to the point that our family is loved and appreciated in our small town. So, yeah, for me it's still in the feel section, at least for my children. Now, my grandchildren, if I ever have some are definitely screwed. My kids are not very ambitious and aloof. I've tried everything to lighten them up but they're still wrapt up in the traps of society. They're still young and I'm hoping they'll lighten up but it's hard.

Wow kinda rolled with that comment, respect

I just checked the ''charctic'" (arctic ice extent tracker), and they show a lower minimum in February of last year. Maybe they just mean "lowest recorded on this day"?

One-Incident3208 Mar 28, 2026 -2
Nah f*** that noise. Arctic death spiral. https://www.arcticdeathspiral.org/

SqueezerOfFarts Mar 28, 2026 +3
Not now, climate, we are busy.

B00marangTrotter Mar 27, 2026 +2
Seriously, I didn't even turn my heater on this "winter". Sure it got cold a couple of times, but just wearing comfortable warm clothes, using blankets, and heat from cooking I never actually had to turn on the heat in my apt. The majority of this "winter" was in the 50s and I'm at elevation above 5000 feet.

F*** ICE

Optimus_Prime_Day Mar 28, 2026 +1
I swear, where i live is protected from this heat and its just constant prolonged cold weather.

I think I found the problem! "Blue is consistently ranked as the world's most popular favorite color. Surveys suggest that roughly 40–45% of people globally cite blue as their favorite color, making it the top choice across many cultures and demographics."

OtheDreamer Mar 27, 2026 -8
I've been saying over and over...everyone better buckle up for this gnarly Blue Ocean Event (EST September) & the upcoming year-round access to the northern trade routes within 3-5 years.
-8
Fancy_Exchange_9821 Mar 27, 2026 +10
There’s no credible source from any scientific organization stating a BOE will occur in September or this year regarding your “est”. It’s impossible to predict them and relies on a multitude of factors simultaneously happening. They were also predicted from 2020-2024 and they didn’t happen. Additionally, anyone spouting an imminent BOE with a runaway greenhouse effect (seen this) is even more full of BS, earth isn’t Venus in any way shape or form lol. Well maybe shape, that’s it.
10
OtheDreamer Mar 27, 2026 -7
Anyone not preparing for BOE already is going to be surprised when stuff happens faster than anyone predicts again. That’s why articles like this exist so people can at least start thinking about the implications >\>
-7
WarWorld Mar 27, 2026 +5
preparing how?
5
Fancy_Exchange_9821 Mar 27, 2026 +3
Okay, so no credible source? Not even the IPCC? Welp.
3
One-Incident3208 Mar 28, 2026 +1
The ipcc is not a credible source, EVERY prediction has been cartoonishly conservative.
1
Fancy_Exchange_9821 Mar 28, 2026 -1
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Sounds like grade A science denial. Who’s a credible source then? Let me guess, the guardian?
-1
One-Incident3208 Mar 28, 2026 +2
The ipcc is a political body, first and foremost.
2
Fancy_Exchange_9821 Mar 28, 2026 +1
So who’s a credible climate science source? If not the IPCC which takes data from…climate scientists… *poof*
1
One-Incident3208 Mar 28, 2026 +2
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0959378012001215 Buzz off this isn't up for debate. They deflate the projections all the time it's standard practice with this topic.
2
Fancy_Exchange_9821 Mar 28, 2026 +2
You’re definitely a scientist with friends in high places, random Listnookor 😂 Discrediting the IPCC is as bad as conservatives discrediting the CDC

Professional_Act_820 Mar 27, 2026 -48
Bla bla bla. Meanwhile we had a f****** brutal winter.

jockfist5000 Mar 27, 2026 +13
Someday you might grow enough folds in your brain to realize there’s more to the global climate than “right outside my house”. Until then keep on being a total moron.
13
Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 -8
Okay...the whole esstern half on NA so f*** off
-8
Logitech4873 Mar 28, 2026 +5
That's a tiny part of the world.
5
Thaumato9480 Mar 27, 2026 +16
That's what happens when melting ice push down the warm currents away from its usual routes, isn't it?
16
OtheDreamer Mar 27, 2026 +5
Yes, yes it is. Also splitting the polar vortex becoming more common
5
Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 -9
No word of a "polar vortex" untill the US media invented it a few yesrs ago.
-9
themightybamboozler Mar 28, 2026 +3
Alright, briefly explain to the class what you think they are getting out of lying about climate change.
3
Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 -2
Ask Trudeau...he nearly killed the Canadian economy by having us pay to stop it.
-2
themightybamboozler Mar 28, 2026 +3
You didn’t answer the question, what do the “elites” and the “media” get out of making up climate change.
3
Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 +1
The media gets a news story...something to write about...simple as that. David Suzuki seems to want to be rid of mankind in favour of saving the planet.
1
OtheDreamer Mar 28, 2026 +4
No you cornball, climate change is happening whether we like it or not & the media is ***if anything*** downplaying how fast the changes are happening so as not to set off alarms. Houses in FL near the coast are nearly uninsurable now, or their rates have gone up 100%+ because insurers expect the sea levels to rise with the melting ice. Lots and lots of Chinese boat activity increasing over the last year because they also see the writing on the wall.

Christ on a bike read a book.

Mental-Mushroom Mar 28, 2026 +5
It's ok to admit you're too dumb to know what global average temperature means
5
Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 -1
I know the world has been warm before and also very cold...over which period are you speaking of Einstein? Pick carefully because it makes a difference.
-1
Logitech4873 Mar 28, 2026 +5
The world has been warming faster and faster since the industrial revolution, and is currently warming hundreds of thousands of times faster than it should be due to our massive CO2 release.
5
Romeo_Glacier Mar 27, 2026 +4
Local weather is not the same as climate. As an example. Most of the Rockies had little to no snow. While southeast Alaska was over double its normal snow fall. Heck, for several weeks it was colder in Florida than Alaska.
4
Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 -4
Oh you mean the jet stream sat in one place for the hole winter...you remember we have a jet stream don't you?
-4
bgrillz Mar 28, 2026 +6
Are you being condescending while also thinking hole and whole are the same? Very impressive!
6
Professional_Act_820 Mar 28, 2026 -1
I believe its call a typo...c***
-1
bgrillz Mar 28, 2026 +7
I doubt it you f****** moron
