Oops- I accidentally reposted my comment- What I meant to say was that the right wing in Argentina has tried to rewrite the history of the dirty war and many of its atrocities. It’s not ancient history. I know an Argentine who’s parents were tortured and exiled and he was sent overseas to relatives as a child. He’s in his fifties now but it’s still a hugely traumatic part of their family history.

I'm Argentinian, most of us want to move on.  I'm 43 I was born after the dictatorship ended.

It’s also the grandchildren now. There are folks from the disappeared still unknown and their children are also being sought. But to be fair, the window is closing.

What is it with stealing babies? Look up how many go missing in the USA each year or Russia openly stealing children from Ukraine in the 10's of thousands. It feels like we are entering somekind of messed up population wars.
