if glaciers were a species, they'd be on the endangered species list. Countries that rely on the water they provide are going to hurt real bad once they are gone.

Countries that rely on the gulf stream are going to hurt real bad when the Greenland glacier melts away.

The previous law legally qualified rocks that had Ice formations on them thousands of years ago as "glaciers". It was ridiculous and a waste of resources and land.

Passing laws to accelerate our ecological collapse is some absolutely psychotic shit.

Argentina is one of the least contaminant countries in the planet already. Try telling Russia, India, China, USA or Germany to do their part. And besides, this modifies a dumb law that basically said an arid rock that had ice on it thousands of years ago counts as a glacier and thus you couldn't mine around it. It was asinine.

Coincidentally, in January as group of US congressmen visited Argentina. They went to f****** Ushuaia of all places - if you don't know, it's like the southernmost place in Argentina, basically the antarctic seas - and talked about...mineral rights. Absolute coincidence, of course.

Conservatives the world over seem like they prefer to destroy rather than conserve. Doesn't that seem odd?
