I think it's a mix of worship and ragebaiting. Like how the Southern states started putting up statues of Confederate soldiers once they realized how much it offended and upset Black people. I bet anything it's the same with Kirk. Conservatives and MAGAts know it would bother people to have to look at that f*****'s name every day, or be forced to listen to traffic reporters and GPS say 'The Charlie Kirk Freeway.'

In Wisconsin a county proposed to change a rural road to his name. At the meeting citizens showed up to say it's a stupid idea...he had no connection to the county. They advanced it anyway. Then the next week they decided to abandon it because "it would cost more than originally expected". All of this truly is just performative
