The delusional hubris of Petite "Whiskey Breath" Hegseth continues. He is just shockingly dumb. It actually makes me feel a little bit better about how just incredibly incompetent most of the Trump administration is. They are still astoundingly dangerous, and likely going to do permanent damage to the United States, but if they were competent it might even be worse. I can only imagine how demoralized the troops are right now.

I read earlier that the number of tomahawk missiles we've fired in the last 30 days is roughly equal to the number we've purchased in the last 14 years. Someone is going to get a huge gifted contract to produce more. F****** idiots.

Raytheon can build something like 600/year. And we fired like 800 in the first few days.

What you are saying. Raytheon tomahawk line worker job pretty secure for the next few years

I don't doubt this. But I always wonder how the rate of production isnt a tactical secret that the e govts keeps a tight lid on. Even how much we've consumed should be secret.

The Polymarket insider money already told you: ground forces enter Iran by April 30. The suspected insider accounts bet $2 million on that outcome. You don’t fire your Army chief and replace him with the former 82nd Airborne commander the same day the 82nd Airborne deploys unless you’re about to order a ground operation that the outgoing chief wouldn’t support. LaNeve the replacement is “a battle-tested leader with decades of operational experience and is completely trusted by Secretary Hegseth to carry out the vision of this administration without fault.” It means: he will execute orders without pushback, without reservations, without the institutional resistance that career Army leadership might provide when asked to send ground troops into Iran. General George likely told Hegseth that a ground incursion into Iran is strategically risky, operationally complex, and could result in significant casualties. That’s what a responsible Army chief SHOULD say. That’s his job, to provide honest military advice. Hegseth doesn’t want honest advice. He wants execution. So he replaced the adviser with an operator.

Well that doesn't sound awkward or anything.

Wild how cabinet drama now feels like reality TV casting except the stakes are way higher than who gets a rose.

I still don't understand how you lot look at this car crash happening 10x a day and then have the audacity not to vote or vote for it to repeat

Imagine the dumbest, most bigoted, most uninformed person you know. That's half our population. We despise teachers and think education is from the Devil.

Add this to the lifting of the ban on carrying personal firearms on base and it sure looks like we're going in soon.

CNN made it sound like the guy was too aligned with Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll who is JD Vance's law school classmate. Might be a case of trying to clean out anyone who would support ousting him.

Vance & Hegseth both see themselves heirs to Trump

What could the disagreement possibly have been about? Trump has spent a decade selecting the craziest Christian Nationalist psychos for the top brass.

Any officer still in service when Trump's term ends will be morally compromised. They will either have done unethical things or kept their mouths shut while others did immoral and unethical things. The entire officer corps will have to be scrapped.
