Imagine nosediving your sick ass chopper pilot career to impress Kid Rock lmao
999
Eighth_Eve Mar 31, 2026 +514
Imagine dumping your military career right before being sent to iran or cuba and starting your quite lucrative commercial helicopter pilot career a few years early.
514
ProofByVerbosity Mar 31, 2026 +174
Smart play when you out it like that
174
ParabolicHyperbole Mar 31, 2026 +74
What is this lucrative career you speak of? Signed, A commercial (ex-military) helicopter pilot
74
clauderbaugh Mar 31, 2026 +34
I know a former air force helicopter pilot that took a job as the chief helicopter pilot for Johnson and Johnson's corporate fleet. He retired from that a while back, but he did very well for himself and his family including his batshit crazy daughter who I may have almost once came close to marrying. Wait, what were we talking about again?
34
ProofByVerbosity Mar 31, 2026 +11
ha-ha, wish I could tell you. The only alleged helocopter pilot I spoke to was a random homeless dude on the bus who told be about his cocaine habitt and crashing a chopper while lit out of his mind. Needless to say that was his last flight.

gplfalt Mar 31, 2026 +70
Why is everyone thinking there will accountability with Trump as commander in chief?
70
CouchPotatoFamine Mar 31, 2026 +36
Trump will reinstate them and give them the Medal of Honor.
36
Spirited-Lifeguard55 Mar 31, 2026 +8
Yes he will give them the Bone Spurs Award and a free excuse to an honorable discharge.
8
Suspicious_Bicycle Mar 31, 2026 +3
Hegseth just lifted all investigations and suspensions of these pilots. :(
3
wirenutter Mar 31, 2026 +10
They will be disciplined at the command level. Stupid shit like this happens all the time in the Army. They will likely do a commanders inquiry. Determine they violated Army policy and continue on. It’s not like these people will be kicked out or anything.
10
johnn48 Mar 31, 2026 +10
I’m surprised that Petey allowed them to be disciplined at all, with his Warrior Ethos and all. Edit: It take him long him long to [lift the suspension](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/military/army-suspends-aircrew-flying-helicopters-kid-rocks-home-rcna265999) of the pilots.
10
fallskjermjeger Mar 31, 2026 +6
“Lucrative” lol. The money is not in helicopters - a lot of Army pilots convert to fixed wing and fly for airlines
6
Nasty____nate Mar 31, 2026 +5
Nope they are just fine already https://www.militarynews.com/news/national/defense-secretary-lifts-suspension-of-2-pilots-of-helicopter-that-flew-near-kid-rocks-home/article_94d9eb43-fdbf-53e0-9026-49b69c7a1527.html
5
rockmasterflex Mar 31, 2026 +5
Commercial helicopter career? How big of a career do you think that is lol.
5
cloudofevil Mar 31, 2026 +7
They could always become MAGA grifters by using this as a springboard.

Ritaredditonce Mar 31, 2026 +14
A 55 year old man-child named Kid Rock!
14
NoDaddyNotTheBelt25 Mar 31, 2026 +7
There’s no doubt that if AJ Soprano followed through on his career plan in the final episode he would have done some stupid shit like this.
7
BloodyRightNostril Mar 31, 2026 +6
Trump will have them all reinstated by the time his dinntertime chicken nuggies come out of the air fryer
6
Dodge542-02 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Bob his name is Bob.
3
sleeptightburner Mar 31, 2026 +4
So we’re pretending they did this on their own and weren’t ordered to do it now? Come on. There’s no way the White House had nothing to do with this.
4
MonkeyBrawler Mar 31, 2026 +2
For real tho, those guys probably wish they got discharged instead.
2
steppedinhairball Mar 31, 2026 +2
That's what it really is about. Clear poor taste in music is not something you want in your pilots.
2
Low-Zucchini6929 Mar 31, 2026 +2
easy way to not get sent to Iran
2
Jazzlike-Yogurt-5984 Mar 31, 2026 +514
“We gotta suspend you for optics, but you’re good” Edit: Aaaaaaand like clockwork, Hegseth publicly lifted the suspension, said there will be no investigation, and told them to “carry on, Patriots 🇺🇸”
514
oldveteranknees Mar 31, 2026 +160
This is exactly what’ll happen
160
sask357 Apr 1, 2026 +62
Didn't even get that far. Hegseth already stepped in.
62
IsopodIndependent553 Mar 31, 2026 +52
God, it’s f****** terrible how cynical Trump has made us all. Even if we can get through this and elect a decent president, we will never truly trust authority again. But maybe that’s a good thing, just like the founding fathers intended.
52
Kage_0ni Mar 31, 2026 +22
>we will never truly trust authority again. Good. You shouldn't have trusted them before.
22
calgarspimphand Mar 31, 2026 +19
I mean, a functioning society that is not based entirely on the threat of violence requires some degree of trust in authority, but that trust does have to be earned.  A working democracy depends a lot on good faith from the citizens and the leaders. "Trust from verify". We are... really f****** far from that.
19
ForTehLawlz1337 Mar 31, 2026 +9
Thanks for saying the smart and reasonable take. A healthy, functioning society requires a two way street of trust between the authority figure and the subjects of their authority. Blind, unwarranted skepticism of all authority is an unhealthy trend that has been growing in America for a long time. It leads to conspiracy theories and hinders meaningful progress.
9
WinterSector8317 Mar 31, 2026 +9
It’s not cynicism if you’re just predicting what will actually happen
9
Quackman2096 Apr 1, 2026 +2
Since when have we trusted authority???

It already did. Suspension lifted “carry on Patriots”.
10
east_van_dan Mar 31, 2026 +4
Probably on paid leave and Skid Rock will invite them to The Lil White (trash)House.
4
NiteGoat Mar 31, 2026 +555
It's absolutely ridiculous that an attack helicopter would get that close to Kid Rock's house and not even fire one rocket at him.
555
GoofinBoots Mar 31, 2026 +63
imagine Trevor Noah having to do a tribute to Kid Rock at the Grammys because some disgruntled pilot wanted to send a f*** you to his piece of shit father by blapping his favorite musician out of existence.
63
MentokGL Mar 31, 2026 +38
I'll bet kid rock isn't even kid rock's favorite musician

Gold Trump sneakers to go with their Trump cell phone while they hold their trump bible and wear their trump hats as they look at their "gold" trump $100 bill. All made in Gyna 🇨🇳 of course.
30

Realistically, just a happy meal. Has the Trump phone even launched? Pretty sure it’s just a scam.

Assuming a lot. They may just be suspended pending investigation. Of no violations found, suspension lifted and they carry on as usual.
135
GermanPayroll Mar 31, 2026 +49
Joyriding military aircraft is rarely a good idea
49
IsopodIndependent553 Mar 31, 2026 +53
Even so, I imagine their little stunt will not be looked upon favorably by their superior officers and their options for promotion will be diminished.
53
WinterSector8317 Mar 31, 2026 +52
Their superior officers are now mostly maga boot lickers, so don’t hold your breath
52
IsopodIndependent553 Mar 31, 2026 +11
Not the ones who are too low ranking to have been purged.
11
WinterSector8317 Mar 31, 2026 +13
So a mid ranking officer does his job and properly punishes these idiots  Then these idiots go on Fox News and cry about how they’re being oppressed  The mid ranking officer gets drummed out of the service for being “woke” and the idiots are back without any repercussions
13
IsopodIndependent553 Apr 1, 2026 +3
This could easily be the case.
3
Apprehensive_Pace555 Mar 31, 2026 +2
They were probably, in on it.
2
Ronho Mar 31, 2026 +8
As if they didn’t have the permission of a maga superior
8
sleeptightburner Mar 31, 2026 +2
Right? Are we really all pretending they just did this on their own? F*** outta here.
2
IsopodIndependent553 Mar 31, 2026 +6
Do you know that for certain? I understand being cynical, but blind cynicism is just as bad as blind faith.
6
Ronho Mar 31, 2026 +5
Nobody knows anything for certain lol. Thats kinda their whole thing right? Prompt stupid ideas. Get called out on it They respond that you are dumb for thinking they would do it Then after they do it, they pretend it was the idea the whole time and its not a big deal. I’m tired
5

Me too.

9
Dovahkiinthesardine Mar 31, 2026 +2
They basically (based on current information) stole military aircraft for a joyride Even if their superiors are against the no king protests etc. It's unlikely they'd just let that fly
2
sask357 Mar 31, 2026 +10
Hegseth told the superior officers to ignore it.
10
the_Q_spice Mar 31, 2026 +3
I mean, Army Aviation just passed the 1-year anniversary of killing everyone on board a passenger flight due to poor safety standards. They are in the FAAs crosshairs right now to be made examples of. The FAA literally just changed the rules for all helicopters flight regulations due to the Army’s lackadaisical safety culture. Last week (ended visual separation allowance for departing or approaching all helicopters in US airspace). [The Army promptly almost caused another collision by disobeying the new rule.](https://abc7.com/amp/post/faa-investigating-close-call-between-military-helicopter-united-airlines-plane-orange-countys-john-wayne-airport/18782596/) At this point, the FAA is going looking for someone in the Army to make an example out of. This flight crew just found themselves in the middle of that. It’s almost certain their flying careers are over. Forget whose house they went to, it’s the manner in which they are operating their aircraft (extremely unsafely) that’s the issue that will get them grounded.
3
sask357 Mar 31, 2026 +9
Your faith in the system is unwarranted. Hegseth already said no punishment and no investigation. In America today you just have to demonstrate enough loyalty to Trump and his minions.
9
ProfessorDerp22 Mar 31, 2026 +24
That’s awfully hopeful. With this admin, they’ll probably be promoted.
24
rapture0707 Apr 1, 2026 +4
Only took a few hours for Hesgeth to be a d***** too. Wooo America...... :/
4

Aaand Kegsbreath has already killed the investigation.

2
djguerito Apr 1, 2026 +2
Hegseth has already said they can go back to work and there will be no consequences.
2
Moneyshot_ITF Mar 31, 2026 +3
Imagine thinking real punishment will come of this
3
J3t5et Mar 31, 2026 +46
Nah. In what world does this crew act alone for this dumb performance. Someone from higher up was involved and they should also be reprimanded. Kid Rock just happened to know an Apache pilot? Bullshit
46
Cant_fly_well Mar 31, 2026 +11
Rumors are it was the battalion commander and the battalion standardization pilot
11
Urmamasophat Mar 31, 2026 +37
The politicization of the military has to be one of the most un-American things big orange pedo has done to the country. Shame on conservatives. F*** em all.

Don't suspend them, send them to Iran. They're MAGA so they should be happy to go, right?
98
AceJokerZ Mar 31, 2026 +18
Literally my thoughts exactly. Send them to Iran if they want to support MAGA so bad
18

Love how MAGA says the country doesn’t have money for education or healthcare but they sure have enough to do dumb shit like this and send missiles into a girls school
148
fartonisto Mar 31, 2026 +28
They don’t want education or healthcare because those things never align with their sky daddy brainwashed beliefs.
28

Ruin your army career for a chance to be appointed to the head of some national defense position by the baboon president.
37
Dry-Amphibian1 Mar 31, 2026 +11
No careers are getting ruined by this.
11
jrsinhbca Mar 31, 2026 +5
Do you really think that the pilots could refuse their orders? Granted they were illegal, the officers directing the pilots are the problem.
5
SoftlySpokenPromises Mar 31, 2026 +13
Misuse of a federal vehicle should be way more than a suspension.
13
Playing-Eve Mar 31, 2026 +6
Costs between 3.8 and 4 million dollars to train each member of an Apache crew. Do we get that and the 18 months back? Can they spend the rest of their service picking up cigarette butts?
6
TheAnswerUsedToBe42 Mar 31, 2026 +5
Suspended with pay. Vacationing at kid rocks house during I'm sure.
5
PsychologyOld3508 Mar 31, 2026 +6

6
stolenpenny Mar 31, 2026 +17
But remember, they'll definitely turn down illegal orders.
17
MyNameIsRay Mar 31, 2026 +4
I have a gut feeling we're going to learn the pilots coordinated this over Instagram DM's or something equally ridiculous directly with Kid Rock.
4
sviraltp7101 Mar 31, 2026 +6
I guess you could say they no longer identify as attack helicopter pilots
6
Reasonable-Turn-5940 Mar 31, 2026 +5
Great having a government that has abandoned law and safety for "the rule of cool" to just do "epic shit" for the gram and views on TikTok. Literal Idiocracy garbage.
5

4

The suspension has been overturned.
6
notie547 Mar 31, 2026 +8
we're all assuming these guys just went rogue? BS, This had to be approved by someone higher up. The pilots didnt just do this. Theyll sweep it under the rug and nothing more will be heard.
8
Sea_Quiet_9612 Mar 31, 2026 +17

Won't they be needed to fight the not-a-war that's already won?
3
Big_Implement3926 Mar 31, 2026 +5
People are getting way too excited about supposed consequences when in reality they’ll be suspended for a bit then it’ll be business as usual. The military is generally very pro maga and they won’t do anything meaningful about this.

2

Hegseth put out no investigation or suspension.
2
Mercuryqueen71 Apr 1, 2026 +2
I doubt it was just highly coincidental that the army was flying a Apache helicopter over the no kings march over this past weekend, they did it on purpose to let the protesters know they could be killed at any moment and if they don’t support trump they will be. The white Trish fly over was just them letting the pedophile supporter know they had his back.

Trump will promote the pilots and give them medals of freedom. Then fire the ones who suspended them. Polite will leave the airforce declare it because of the woke mindset of the airforce and then go and work on Fox News has hosts and the get a gig at the White House and write a book. Did I miss anything??? Edit: Army they have thier own pilots. Just learned this now danm America wtf
6
Far_Eye6555 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Don’t like that some warrant officer or captain is gonna feel the brunt of this when it should be on the base to take the heat. Someone approved this flight mission! Definitely wasn’t the pilots
3
bigterfyd Mar 31, 2026 +4
Don’t be delusional, all heavily scripted and foreseen. The pilots and Kid Rock has a get out of jail free card and they knows it and theyll use it, the mileage for Trump for this is unmeasurable on social media.
4
Gr33nman460 Mar 31, 2026 +3
Were these guys able to just take a helicopter and fly wherever they wanted with them?
3
sickbandnamealert Mar 31, 2026 +3
Trump will call the decision to suspend them “woke”, reinstate them, promote them to high ranking White House positions.
3
clamhappy2 Mar 31, 2026 +6
Good! That was cool to see, but a dumb move on their part. Plus kid rock sucks. Talk about someone who threw what’s left of their career into the toilet over a political figure. Rudy, the my pillow guy and many others threw their career and any credibility down the drain for that moron. Pathetic.
6
