I'm almost in my 30s, and I realized myself enjoying hot beverages for the past few years more than I ever did before.
When I was a kid, I didn't care for them because I couldn't chug, and they didn't feel quenching.
But recently, I found them comforting, and they are a great way to unwind/relax.
Right now, I'm interested in exploring different types of teas.
Same here but with coffee. I used to not care for it at all, now it’s less about the caffeine and more about the whole ritual of it.
Something about a hot cup of coffee just makes everything feel calmer for a bit.

Although I'm not a coffee person, I do get the "whole ritual" part. Especially if you start from grinding whole beans, that's like a meditation. Also, the smell of the hot coffee is absolutely beautiful, and I love sniffing it when I pass by a cafe.

In exactly the same. I only started drinking coffee around 6-7 years ago (I’m 40) and now I couldn’t live without it, it’s part of my morning routine, a coffee in bed so I can function for the day

Spot on. Enjoying a hot drink is a sign of stability. Its a ritual that forces you to slow down and stay in the moment because you simply cant rush it. Definitely something to cherish.

Metoo. My mum told me when i was a kid. Since then, every morning i drink a cup of hot water to wake me up. Even when im ill, i drink hot water. Hot beverages make me feel calm and give me a sense of security, haha.

Are you me?! :) I can barely function without either a hot beverage to hand or the thought of one in the very near future. I have managed to achieve coffee-nirvana after a lifetime of experimenting but I, too, am now exploring all sorts of tea options. I can spend happy moments deeply introspecting if I'm in the mood for a tea, temporarily displacing my love for coffee. Favourite tea options- peppermint with honey at any time; valerian at night; a right, ruddy rooibos in the day time.

It's true! As a kid I only drank tea when sick, and I hated the taste of coffee. Now I enjoy coffee both as a means to get myself going in the morning, and also as part of a social "ritual" when meeting up with someone, and I love most types of tea (that I've tried). My absolute favorite right now is a chocolate chai latte. I can't have it often because of the added milk, but I just find it extremely delicious.
