Farhadi has been one of the most morally consistent voices in cinema for years, so when he speaks up like this it actually means something rather than feeling like a PR move.

Filmmakers stopping a war sounds about as realistic as plumbers stopping oil price spikes.

Is it really a war crime to attack a country’s infrastructure you’re at war with?

Well Masethelah, according to google - Yes, under international humanitarian law (IHL), intentionally attacking a country’s civilian infrastructure—such as power plants, water systems, or bridges—is considered a war crime. Sure, you can argue "Dual Use"  But then the guy goes and puts the cherry on top by, you know, threatening a whole civilization which just happens to be number 3 on this dang list right here. Attacking infrastructure constitutes a war crime when:  1- It is intentional: The attack is aimed at causing harm to civilians or destroying civilian life. 2 - It is disproportionate: The attack causes excessive civilian suffering compared to the military advantage. 3 - It is indiscriminate: The attack hits civilian targets without distinguishing from military targets, threatening a "whole civilization" or population center.

You learn something new every day. Which of these 3 conditions were met?

Do you think the intention was to bomb a school full of children?
