I’m reminded of Matthew 18:20-35. An official owes the king a ridiculous amount of money, like so much he could never pay it. So he asks the king for mercy and the king wiped the deck clean. Then that same official was out in town and found a servant who owed him a small amount. He basically choked him out and had him arrested for the unpaid debt. The king found out and after chastising him had him taken to jail to be tortured till he could repay the literally unpayable debt. Who are we to decide who deserves no mercy??
