At what point do you start liking someone?

It's changed as I have gotten older. Before, all I needed was a cute smile and a glance and I was smitten. Now, it doesn't matter how attractive they are, if I don't sense a genuine interest in me, I lose all interest as it starts to feel one sided and becomes a waste of time.

6 to 12 weeks to have any interest, 12 months or more to have any real feelings for them.

for me, it usually starts with a good convo or shared interests. if they make me laugh or I feel comfortable around them, that's when I know it's getting real.

Basically the question in title, I wonder when do you actually start liking someone, Is it when you get obsessed over them, or is it when you start to hope they'll look your way, or is it when you start to hope they'll talk to you? If you ask me, I think its when you start to wonder whether you like them or not. What's your opinion on this?

For me, it’s when their name pops up and suddenly my mood shifts without even trying. That quiet little excitement? Yeah… that’s when I know.

i usually start liking someone new from the start by default. it's on them to do something to change that from like to dislike.

Usually if you feed me or I have a meal with someone by the time it’s over I know if we can be friends. Been that way since the lunch tables in school.

Where there's mutual attraction, honest and direct intention, open communication, similar likes and interests, flowing conversations. It may take hours or days. It depends on how often we talk.

It varies. Usually I've seen them around and stuff. And then I talk to them for an amount of time. And then I realize that I actually like them.

It’s not the big romantic gesture. It’s the small 'I remembered you liked this' moment. Like when they send you a meme they know fits your specific sense of humor, or when they remember a tiny detail about your childhood that you mentioned once

For me, it’s when I start looking forward to talking to them without even realizing it like their messages just hit different, and I catch myself smiling at my phone. That’s usually when I know something’s starting.

Consistency, if their attraction to me doesn’t die out even when I’m not myself I fall head over heels.

If they have something unique or interesting about them that I don’t see often. If they’re a breath of fresh air

Its so odd. Recently on a job i met a guy and we barely interacted but the few interactions we did have made me like him. Its just something about the way he talks to me/looks at me and interacts with me that feels soft and intimate and I caught a crush from it. Its like theres people i find attractive, but to like them I need to like the way they interact with the world. Sometimes it takes a while to start liking someone and sometimes its almost instant.
