Can't seem to find it there or anywhere else, how strange. Any search with Aang just turns up the old series from 2005. Edit: extto had it

Same here! I don't want to accidentally spoil it by watching the whole thing with my gf this weekend. I'd feel much safer with a link to cross reference. I mean there are so many links I just don't know which one it is

And it's actually pretty good. Edit: For context, I regard Last Airbender as possibly my favorite piece of media ever. I don't care for Legend of Korra aside from some very select elements, and I couldn't read more than a single comic. I also haven't liked any live action iteration of the story.  That said, this movie is far and away the best thing they've made for this franchise in nearly 20 years. I'll need to see it again to really judge it but as a very stern fan I'm pleasantly surprised.

>!It’s amazing. Shame on Paramount for burying this with a streaming release. There’s not even a trailer for this movie yet and it’s fully finished. But yeah it’s peak. New voices rule. The animation and fight choreography are insane. Lotta cool story and lore bits. Fans are gonna be overjoyed.!<

Nobody hates the Avatar franchise more than Paramount / Nickelodeon execs. Can’t believe they decided against a theatrical release. I still hold a grudge against the network for also taking Korra off air mid-season and releasing it exclusively online then cutting the budget of season 4.
81
Pigeon_Lord Apr 13, 2026 +8
Having watched it today, I disagree on your take for the voices, but I thought the villain was done well. Still, could have been far far worse.

You should read the books. Not the comics, the books. Start with the Kiyoshi duology. I haven’t watched the movie because I‘m holding off for official release, but to me, they’re the only thing worth my time after the original series. Great material.
2
Bteatesthighlander1 Apr 13, 2026 +10
I only saw a few clips but the voice acting sounds liek a fan production. action looks great tho.
10
TheMikeyC Apr 13, 2026 +6
The new voices are definitely a little odd at first but they grew on me by the end. Once you accept they're going for the characters attitude over a dead on impression it gets easier. Even with Zuko sounding way different. They crucially feel like developments of their younger selves even moreso than Legend of Korra which flanderized them.
6
volinaa Apr 13, 2026 +17
Aang was super solid in Korra

5
Joshawott27 Apr 13, 2026 +753
If people were hoping Paramount would change course and revive the theatrical release, this was likely the nail in the coffin. A full, HD version being available online will be seen as detrimental to theatrical profits. If only the first couple of clips had leaked, it could have been salvageable and shown demand for a full release (like with the *Deadpool* test footage), but yeah… this sucks.
753
CombatMuffin Apr 13, 2026 +311
I agree and it shows how unimaginative this generation of executives is. They could easily start a marketing and PR campaign showing how important the success of this movie was for the future of the franchise, test the reception of said message with the fandom (which has been very dedicated, for decades) and then make a marketing push for a theatrical release, by coupling it as more than just the film, but an experience (launch it with collectibles, multimedia incentives, etc.) It's an extremely well received franchise (with that one exception), and it has a place, but executives nowadays can't think a single year ahead if their lives depended on it.

7
CombatMuffin Apr 13, 2026 +18
*Deadpool* was greenlit after the vertical slice being leaked to audiences to test their reception. The sequel holds the highest grossing box office in R-Rated history. The leak happened because the studios did not trust the profitability of the superhero. *Sonic The Hedgehog* was arguably going to be DOA after the reveal, then with the changes, became a two-film box office success. We are getting a *Backrooms* movie, which has very little financial appeal as it started out as a meme/greentext in 4Chan, as other than that it is composed of low budget videogames or fan videos. Unlike *Slenderman*, which were also made from internet sensations, *The Backrooms* stars a significant cast and is distributed by A24. Less on point, but not that irrelevant, is the current success of *Iron Lung*, produced and starring Markiplier. Financially, it is as Indie as Indie gets, the IP is relatively unknown even by videogame standards, but the significant following Markiplier has boosted the film: it made over $50 million from a $3 million budget.
18
lockecole38 Apr 13, 2026 +6
You mean three-film box office success for the Sonic films.

tahlyn Apr 13, 2026 +10
Isn't this the entire business model of a gofundme or patreon?
10
snapwack Apr 13, 2026 +42
Even people who intend to patronise it will seek out the leak just to avoid having to dodge spoilers for 6 months. I hope they see how much people love it and will be convinced that enough of them would want it as a theatre experience.
42
UF0_T0FU Apr 13, 2026 +25
To me, it indicates the opposite. Anyone who wants to watch at home on their laptops or smart TV's already can. The leaked version makes the streaming edition mostly worthless. Putting it in theaters gives people a reason to pay for it. Sure, you can steam it at home for free, or you can pay to see it on a full screen in surround sound.
25
Joshawott27 Apr 13, 2026 +30
For a bit of context, I work in Film PR and one of my clients is an anime distributor. We recently had to move up our theatrical release date of a film because the US announced their digital as being before. The big issue being that once a film is available digitally (legally or not), it *will* be p******. The majority of people won’t care about a theatrical release being eventised - the majority just want to see the film in general.
30
Wendigo15 Apr 13, 2026 +2
Pretty much. I'm not paying for paramount+ and will find a way to watch the movie. If it was in theaters, I wouldn't mind spending extra for it
2
pokemonisok Apr 13, 2026 +25
If they were smart they’d just release it to theatres for the summer. Why wait
25
just4browse Apr 13, 2026 +19
Well, it’s not done. The full movie might’ve leaked, but it’s not in a finished state. Edit: it appears I was wrong. I had only seen clips, which I misinterpreted as missing some effects
19
WearingASalmonSuit Apr 13, 2026 +15
I'm not sure about that. There was a screening for the cast and crew a few months ago, which is where the first bit of official art we've seen came from. Unless that was a test screening version?
15
ozone6587 Apr 13, 2026 +6
There is no evidence that it is unfinished.
6
BigDumDumer Apr 13, 2026 +6
NGL the leaked version of the Minecraft movie was super dope to watch because not all CGI scenes were finished. It was awesome seeing them in a beta state. Thanks, you inspired me to hunt down the avatar leak haha.
6
badolcatsyl Apr 13, 2026 +13
They were never going to change course even without any leaks. The simple fact of the matter is that the Paramount+ move is purely because of the Skydance merger last year. This movie was championed by Nickelodeon executives Ramsay Naito and Brian Robbins, and they are both now gone. The new Paramount has no one championing for or defending this. To them it's a belated leftover of a defunct and bygone era of entertainment. Yesterday's trash, to be thrown out. Honestly, if I were a fan, I'd be kind of grateful. Because at least it'll (or arguably already has depending on your point of view) still see the light of day in the end. Batgirl wasn't so lucky. I hope that movie leaks soon as well.
13
Joshawott27 Apr 13, 2026 +4
Oh yeah, I don’t think they were going to change their minds either. This just makes the chances of them doing so a lot less than they already were.
4
Wischiwaschbaer Apr 14, 2026 +2
Paramount was never going to change course anyway. Which is likely why this leak happened in the first place. Somebody was like "f*** paramount and the horse they rode in on."
2
OniWarthog Apr 13, 2026 +7
How will the theaters sell me snowcaps at a 500% mark up if I just watch this at home?
7
Spiral-Force Apr 13, 2026 +305
From the clips that leaked, the animation looks pretty good. This movie really should be getting a theatrical release. I was worried about the new voice actors, but I actually liked the brief snippets I heard of the new cast.
305
windkirby Apr 13, 2026 +71
That's good, everyone seems to be saying the animation and general quality are top notch. The VAs are the only thing I've heard divided things about

> new voice actors Huh? Why are there new voice actors?
30
Jevano Apr 13, 2026 +75
Who knows, makes no sense when the original voice actors are still around meeting with fans of the show, doing events etc
75
P00nz0r3d Apr 13, 2026 +37
For certain Mae Whitman was not coming back, she was the first one to outright say she wanted Katara to be played by someone of her ethnicity Zach hasn’t done acting at all since ATLA ended and had no interest in doing it again So all that were left were Jack DeSena, Dante Basco and Jessie Flower
37
raptearer Apr 13, 2026 +41
Badco said he didnt want to too, because if everyone else changes voices as they aged, it didn't make sense for Zuko to just sound the same (Basco's voice is incredibly iconic and obvious whatever he's in)
41
TugaMurakami Apr 13, 2026 +7
I'll never understand Basco's take on this. He not only voiced geriatric Zuko for Korra, but also a completely different character who was older than Zuko was on AtLA
7
caligaris_cabinet Apr 13, 2026 +25
He voiced Zuko’s grandson in Korra. Zuko was a different actor which makes sense since most 80 year olds don’t sound like their teenage selves.
25
wandersweave Apr 13, 2026 +22
He did not voice old zuko in Korra.
22
Kazewatch Apr 13, 2026 +4
I agree with you except he didn't voice geriatric Zuko. That was Bruce Davison. Still he should've just voiced Zuko. His voice is iconic and the character's not that much older.
4
superturtle48 Apr 13, 2026 +3
No, Bruce Davison voiced old Zuko in Legend of Korra. I have no idea who he is, but I don't remember any kind of backlash to that casting.
3
Jevano Apr 13, 2026 +2
I believe Basco saying he didn't want to is false or a rumor. Got this from google anyway: "Actually, Zuko's original voice actor (VA), Dante Basco, was very much open to returning. While there were conflicting rumors, Basco stated he wanted to do it and knew fans wanted him back."
2
Jevano Apr 13, 2026 +11
There's a video of the cast just 8 months ago, including Zach [https://youtu.be/YXRj1uAITwA?t=153](https://youtu.be/YXRj1uAITwA?t=153) It's missing some people but there's plenty of events in 2023, 2024, etc with all of the VAs in comic con. If I remember right Toph's VA even had a rewatch of the show on her youtube channel with other of the VAs as guests. I don't think it would have been an issue at all to get them back. Not from their part anyway.
11
whatwhynoplease Apr 13, 2026 +8
Zach Eisen seemed to just not like being in the spotlight. he's done a few interviews and shown up to a few events but in the last year or so, he's really backed away from everything. he privated all his social media and just kinda disappeared. his Instagram bio: > I won’t be responding to any DMs 👍 not accepting follow request anymore so please don’t bother trying. Have a great day!
8
Kazewatch Apr 13, 2026 +6
Especially replacing Dante Basco. There is no legitamite reason to have replaced him. He's Asian and the voice would still fit an older Zuko. They just wanted to capitalize on that Invincible hype by hiring Steven Yuen. Also it's just dumb in general since it's *voice acting.* I would've loved to hear Jack DeSana doing an older Sokka.
6
Jevano Apr 13, 2026 +3
I agree, even for all the other characters, I see no legitimate reason no replace them. They're fictional characters, it's just an excuse they came up with. Even Japanese anime has American or European characters all done by Japanese VAs.
3
XtraCrispy02 Apr 13, 2026 +9
Originally this was going to be in theatres, so the corporate minions want recognizable names to help get people in the theatre
9
The_Blue_Rooster Apr 13, 2026 +4
The original voice actors weren't Asian except for Basco, and I guess he wasn't the right kind of Asian.
4
Mundane_Existence0 Apr 13, 2026 +5
Because Toph's blind, so her voice actress ***has*** to be blind. You seriously want a sighted voice actress playing a blind fictional character? That's just not right in today's modern world.
5
shaan4 Apr 13, 2026 +3
I think they said that they wanted actors with the same cultural backgrounds
3
Gummyia Apr 13, 2026 +7
I don't think Aang's OG's voice actor does VA work anymore. They wanted "more mature" voices which is fair. They're supposed to be adults now! You're also only allowed to voice act characters that are the same race as you now, and most of the OG characters VAs were white.
7
skolnaja Apr 13, 2026 +14
Because of the stupid "voice actors need to be same ethnicity as the character they're playing" thing.
14
Spiral-Force Apr 13, 2026 +6
“To better fit this Japanese inspired character, we’ve replaced his Filipino voice actor with a Korean one”
6
Mundane_Existence0 Apr 13, 2026 +2
>Because of the stupid "voice actors need to be same ethnicity as the character they're playing" thing. It's not stupid. You mean you can't hear the full *authenticity* Toph's new blind voice actress has brought to the blind fictional character? Isn't it a huge improvement over her previously sighted voice actress? /s
2
Logondo Apr 13, 2026 +2

2
roguefilmmaker Apr 13, 2026 +1
They really don’t understand the concept of fantasy worlds or animation. Guess we need to find a sky bison to voice Appa now
1
OtisTheRobot Apr 13, 2026 +280
This f****** sucks, genuinely. Finally taking advantage of this beloved franchise in such a long time only to get screwed over by the troglodytes at Paramount not releasing it in theaters and now this. The artists that worked on this and the series as a whole deserves so much better.
280
flippingchicken Apr 13, 2026 +75
It genuinely feels like they're trying to sabotage this film in the same manner Zaslav has been sabotaging all the cartoons on HBO. I was so excited to see this in theaters, too... what a shame.
75
Ryno_D1no Apr 13, 2026 +3
I didn't even realize they weren't releasing in theaters anymore. I feel bad for those working on the project, tbh only move for Paramount now is to release in theaters bc the ppl nerdy enough to *not* download the movie before its official release can't replicate the theater experience.
3
Wischiwaschbaer Apr 14, 2026 +3
This leak is likely a direct response to paramount trying to bury the movie. Considering the merger and that the new leadership seems to hate this movie, it might have even gotten batgirled if not for the leak. We should also thank the brave soul who did it.
3
Psychomas Apr 13, 2026 +144
THE BOULDER IS CONFLICTED. ON ONE HAND I WANT TO SUPPORT THE RELEASE BUT ON THE OTHER PARAMOUNT PLUS BLOWS
144

The faster Paramount dies... the quicker the IP is sold off to someone else. I'd rather someone else have it than be used to make profit for these hacks.

If we count the days before HD was really a thing... It used to be pretty common for Oscar screeners of films that had only had a few festival showings getting released from screeners. Hulk (2003) had a workprint leaked a few weeks before the film was due to release. Revenge of the Sith had similar, though I was travelling at the time so wasn't "there" when it happened and don't remember details. Pretty sure one of the shit Wolverine films had a full DVD-quality copy leaked ~a month before release. I think I read something about the Minecraft movie leaking early with in-progress VFX. The Sony hack had a lot of stuff leaked but I don't remember if it was any full films. I'm pretty sure this is the fullest, most in-advance leak of film like this, though.

_Levitated_Shield_ Apr 13, 2026 +4
The two Netflix SpongeBob movies.

envious_1 Apr 13, 2026 +12
Yep, hollywood movies for sure. Quick google search will show several. XMen Origins Wolverine is one I rem.
12
recklessrecentpast Apr 13, 2026 +30
That didn't have finished sfx.
30
N7even Apr 13, 2026 +12
That was an experience for sure, especially the ending lol
12
recklessrecentpast Apr 13, 2026 +8
Now imagine a time traveler showing up right after you've just watched the leaked version of Wolverine Origins and having to convince you that they made two more solo wolverine movies and a whole successful Deadpool trilogy franchise all without either of those roles getting recasted.

LupinThe8th Apr 13, 2026 +4
In the version I watched a time traveler did show up and shoot Deadpool in the head and the time traveler was also Deadpool, it was weird.
4
Wermine Apr 13, 2026 +2
To be honest, the finished movie didn't have finished sfx.
2
Queef-Elizabeth Apr 13, 2026 +2
That's what I was thinking of but it was far from finished
2
ThePreciseClimber Apr 13, 2026 +38
Shouldn't they have released a teaser trailer by now?
38
Worthyness Apr 13, 2026 +28
That would require Paramount to be competent

justarandomuser20 Apr 13, 2026 +10
Honestly the state of cartoons (kids cartoons really, adult animation has been really strong for the past few years) is kind of depressing. The only notable cartoons that come out anymore is revivals of shows that already ran its course like Gumball, Fairly Odd Parents, Adventure Time and now Avatar and Regular Show soon. Even worse since Avatar already had a sequel show

_Levitated_Shield_ Apr 13, 2026 +35
I'm just convinced atp that Nickelodeon and P+ genuinely doesn't know how to handle the brand.
35
Mukeli1584 Apr 13, 2026 +19
Yeah, kind of amazing considering it’s been around for 20 odd years.
19
LupinThe8th Apr 13, 2026 +9
And has been so influential, you can see its fingerprints all over other works. Somehow other people can get success from it, but the actual owners can't.
9
madbadcoyote Apr 13, 2026 +8
I am genuinely astounded that they manage to mishandle this series again and again. Due to its quality it's remained popular despite all the scheduling nonsense Nick/Paramount has put both of the shows through. Really wanted to see this in theaters :(
8
Tetroph Apr 13, 2026 +22
Being a fan of this franchise is exhausting.
22
DumbWhore4 Apr 13, 2026 +8
Hopefully this leak won’t kill the chances of us getting future movies. It’s unfortunate that this beloved series has had such bad luck since Korra.
8
pressure_art Apr 15, 2026 +3
Loool it’s not bad luck. It’s abysmal mismanagement of the property.
3
LimLovesDonuts Apr 15, 2026 +2
Honestly, I find it really ironic that the Netflix adaptation has been handled a lot more competently and that it's also rather successful while the animated movie looks like it's just going to "flop". Depends on how you look at it I guess. From a IP perspective, the live action is keeping it alive and somewhat relevant.
2
Sansred Apr 13, 2026 +32
Wait, I thought it was Leaked because they cancelled the premiere
32
jynkyousha Apr 13, 2026 +40
No, apparently the sent It so some random accidentally by e-mail and they just leaked the whole movie.
40
JamStan1978 Apr 13, 2026 +84
No, that was just somebody trolling. The movie was leaked by a hacker that leaked a bunch of other stuff.
84
jynkyousha Apr 13, 2026 +11
yeah, that makes more senses.
11
RealJohnGillman Apr 13, 2026 +3
> a bunch of other stuff What else was leaked?
3
ShawnDawn Apr 13, 2026 +9
F*** Paramount f*** nickelodeon for doing what they did to this franchise for all these years. F*** them
9
HomersApe Apr 13, 2026 +10
I saw some of it in my feed, thankfully not the whole thing, but the voices definitely stood out. I think the idea of making a cast more reflective of their characters can make sense; however, in that brief clip, the change was clearly unnecessary. If you want to cast accurately (whatever that word means for a fantasy world), fine. But if you're going to remove the established actors and then have the new ones perform in ways that make some of them feel like an impression of the old one, then the point was lost. Why recast in the first place? Felt kind of like when DBZ switched from Canada to Texas, where Chris Sabat was doing an impression of Brian Drummond, because they were trying to match the established voice. They did because they had to; that wasn't the case here. Again brief clip, but it felt unnecessary. Aang was the only one who needed it because of the age.

KuciMane Apr 13, 2026 +6
F*** paramount I’m glad this happened to them Sorry to those who worked on it
6
ThrowAbout01 Apr 13, 2026 +4
That’s just something that seems to happen to Nickelodeon movies.
4
Billybob35 Apr 13, 2026 +3
They got caught in the last few hacks because of a dubbing studio.
3
Coolboss999 Apr 13, 2026 +2
Nickelodeon just needs to salvage whatever they can and just drop a teaser trailer already. Or even move up the release date. This is ridiculous
2
Vivid_Maximum_5016 Apr 13, 2026 +2
I'm not asking for links but does anyone at least know what to search in the 🏴‍☠️ search engine?
2
Bloodllust Apr 13, 2026 +2
Aaaand where can a pirate find his treasure?
2
KlDxCHA0S Apr 13, 2026 +2
Where the damn link…
2
Zeeisrage Apr 13, 2026 +4
I watched it (Im sorry I just couldn't wait). Animation is top tier. The voice acting does throw you off in the beginning, but you get used to it. I will say though I'm surprised it's not releasing in theatres because again the animation is AMAZING.
4
twec21 Apr 13, 2026 +5
I wasn't giving P+ money anyway but that's still a shame
5
XtraCrispy02 Apr 13, 2026 +4
Weird that the movie is apparently completely finished and yet Paramount chose to sit on it for 6 more months
4
Billybob35 Apr 13, 2026 +4
Usually, they sit on a movie to market it, but there's been no marketing outside of leaked T shirt designs.
4
Frierguy Apr 13, 2026 +3
This post is my first hearing of it... And I love avatar. Recently got a magic the gathering set I happened to see in a store I knew nothing about
3
StormMasterBaitor Apr 13, 2026 +8
Saw a clip, the voice acting just doesn't work for me
8
UpvoteIfYouAgreee Apr 13, 2026 +7
some of the voices are just too iconic in my head, Aang/Katara are whatever but Zuko/Sokka have such distinct voices in my head
7
RedPon3 Apr 13, 2026 +13
I dunno, “SOMEONE CONFIRM” from Toph was fantastic delivery. It’s not the best VA I’ve ever heard but I feel like these days if there’s a single thing to nitpick, people throw out the whole thing
13
s3rila Apr 13, 2026 +4
is it just because they changed voice actors or is it bad acting?
4
JoJolion Apr 13, 2026 +12
Idk, to me I just cannot identify these as the same characters with these new voices. Some are better than others, but Sokka just sounds wrong to me on a visceral level. One recast is one thing, the entire cast is another.
12
Kazewatch Apr 13, 2026 +3
Especially Zuko. As dumb as it is for voice acting to now have to have the caveat of the voice actor be the same race/disability/sexuality despite to being *voice* acting, replacing Basco who is Asian is just stupid.
3
MissingLink000 Apr 13, 2026 +5
Matter of opinion I guess. I thought Sokka's was one of the best of the group.
5
Mookies_Bett Apr 13, 2026 +4
I also feel like Sokka was one of the most "kid" sounding VAs in the original series, so it would make the most sense for his voice to sound super different as he gets older
4
Kazewatch Apr 13, 2026 +4
Yeah but Jack DeSana sounds like that as an adult. There's no reason Sokka couldn't retain the same voice, if not just matured.
4
UltimateKaiser Apr 13, 2026 +4
Anyone think this was deliberate by Shitmount to then come back and say this is why there won’t be the theatrical release that Avatar deserves?
4
FixedFun1 Apr 13, 2026 +8
Paramount has the worst security. The Plankton Movie, The Sandy Movie and other animated productions got leaked too, not in a final state but they did.
8
jynkyousha Apr 13, 2026 +11
I saw some clips and It's probably one of the best animated movies I've seen, and I'm not overreacting. edit: I'm talking about the animation.
11
str4ight_shooter Apr 13, 2026 +2
Terrible for the creators, but I love this for paramount
2
roguefilmmaker Apr 13, 2026 +2
Sad since it’ll probably lead less people to watch it on streaming and then lead to them not moving forward with more Avatar content citing viewership
2
nowhereman136 Apr 13, 2026 +2
I'm usually against leaks and viewing movies online before official releases But given that this is Paramount and they are about to f*** over Hollywood, I say f*** 'em
2
AEveryDayIdiot Apr 13, 2026 +2
Don’t know why I’m so conflicted in watching it leaked despite knowing I wasn’t gonna give paramount any of my money when it came out anyway.
2
maguirre165 Apr 13, 2026 +2
Just release it in theaters. I don't want to be subscribed to Paramount Plus. I'm just gonna unsubscribe as soon as I'm done watching the movie
2
Pretty_Chameleon Apr 13, 2026 +1
Is the leak the fully finished film? Or still a work in progress?
1
JosephCedar Apr 13, 2026 +2
It's fully finished.
2
XtraCrispy02 Apr 13, 2026 +1
Well, good luck to anyone hoping to avoid spoilers before the movie is officially released
1
Foreign_Diamond1539 Apr 13, 2026 +1
To paraphrase a fellow Nicktoon: "Viacom, this is the third time in the row You leaked scenes from a Nickelodeon movie You plan to release on streaming." " *Dear Paramount* ,This time it's different, it's in the Avatar Legends universe and fully (I guess?) 2D animated, making it highly pleasing for the eyes" "Highly pleasing for the eyes, huh? If You never officially showcased any live footage of it, how can You be sure it's this breathtaking?" *Leaks the whole movie (again)* "Nyeeh nyeeh!" *Checks X (formerly known as Twitter)* "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
1
Felho_Danger Apr 13, 2026 +1
NGL, the news of this leaking is the very first time I am ever hearing of it's existence.
1
jimpez86 Apr 13, 2026 +1
What is it with Avatar and leaks. Korra leaked constantly, really killed it's release cadence
1
CorruptPhoenix Apr 13, 2026 +1
This sucks, but also screw paramount for not making their shows available worldwide. Paramount+ is not available in my country and there’s a zero percent chance of them dubbing the movie for a local audience.
1
ImmediateHoney2191 Apr 13, 2026 +1
Is the original creative team (yanno the one that bailed on Netflix immediately) involved? If so I’m very interested
1
HonkHonkMTHRFKR Apr 13, 2026 +1
This movie is really good. It’s a shame they weren’t going to release this in movies
