My favourite of the 3. I loved the leader of the Fire Tribe . I really wish she had more time on screen. The way she moved was incredible.

I was an Avatar apologist, and will continue to be. James Cameron is a visionary who created an amazing universe that I love being immersed in for 3 hours at a time. But I cannot for the life of me understand why the fandom likes this movie.
It retreads the most specific scenes from The Way of Water, and not in a Force Awakens thematic sort of way. Loak has now twice gone off on his own, got caught in a coral reef while running away from a sea predator and almost drowned, for example.
Jake’s character is assassinated in his near-execution of Spider, and the scene literally has no point anyway because it’s never brought up again and Spider seems to forgive him with no problem.
The final act was literally The Way of Water’s, but with more boats and a Loot Island feature. I *really* hope James Cameron doesn’t fumble 4 as hard as he did here.

Pretty much what my opinion is too.
The only thing I would add is that for a movie called Fire and Ash, I expected to see far more of the "fire tribe" as we did here. I was so sad when I realised that the tribe was not central to the plot but a toybox for Cameron to pick a few new units for the final showdown.
What makes it even worse for me is that the small part we got to see, be it the lore behind the burnt up giant tree or the leader of the tribe herself, was cool as hell ! Why didn't we focus on that ??!

Avatar 1 was probably the last movie I saw in theaters before.... whichever Spiderman came out during Covid. The second Avatar i watched on my phone which made me realize... these are just ass movies without the Big Screen Special Effects. Without a giant spectacle to stare at the plot and drama are just dogshit.
No interest in bothering further.

So what you're telling me is you spent over a decade not going to the movies? Avatar 1 came out in 2009, "whichever Spiderman came out during Covid" (No Way Home) came out in 2021.
At this point, this comment isn't even about Avatar lmfao

I seen the first one when it came out, and way of the water at home. It was like the same movie, seen trailers for the 3rd and I’m like okay… they’re just doing a different biome every time with the same story 😂

Never had any in the first place; wayyyy too much hype that made me tired of it before it even hit the theaters. Still haven't seen any of them.
