Even before I started doing my own vinyl to a small/ c**** National Transistor Radio "AM" only, and it's (now deemed primitive) MONO compact cassette tape recorder - I avidly checked the night aired DX stations far away from here, trying to grab songs of my "back then" favourite artists such as Alice CXooper, Uriah Heap, but mostly Ozzie Osbourne and the lack Sabath band...
Back then - it was my only way to collect their music, as I never got pocket money on our farm - as Dad (even back then) was a cussed old bloke, who assumed I wouldn't respect money if he gave me any - so whatever "work" I did around the farm before I was ten, my two sisters would "get" what ?I felt was "my hard erned cash" ?
But as I was not able to walk into the town 5miles away, because it took me too long and all shops SHUT less han an hour after the school bus got me ome anyways, and when I "deliberaty" missed the bus, it was always well fter nightfall, before my tiny legs struggled me home, so Mum would buy me blank tapes to record off the radio with?
This is one I latr did, when I got a job and ws able to BUY a stereo turntable, a stereo AKAI recorder AND most importantly "stereo vinyls" to dub direct.
However, by then I had also discoered how to reformat them to enable me to HEAR everything ever recorded, without anything eig self-cancelled or LOST in anything that was TOO loud, for lower things to be heard..
Hence why I still LOVE, wha I discovered in 1965 - when I can still remember where I put it (hidden it is usually) on my audio website, in order to "play" this (again) for you now.
:Listen (differently) as Guitars are played VERTICALLY
As “Ozzie Osbourne” sings … an old “Black Sabbath” song.
