Look at that justice is served! And by justice I mean a tax deductible settlement that requires no admission of guilt. Everyone wins (except the victims).

I am a little confused. How did Bank of America cause harm here?

I think knowingly allowing, facilitating transactions and keeping accounts open(?) despite knowledge of suspicious context. I think as well there are certain conflations that occurred because of and between Leon Black and BOA, possibly using BOA as a means to facilitate illegal activities.

Sounds lithe 72 millions dollars is hush money. If they’re putting up that kind of cash BOA doesn’t want this to see the light of day. Too bad they took the payoff I wish we could see court discovery.

Yes it is definitely a key factor. Leon Black was subpoenaed recently and I believe this settlement is generally an accepted cause for dismissal of his responsibilities to appear. All of this is despite the constituency of all 50 states likely being vehemently against exploiting certain processes, such as the aforementioned, to enable figures to evade having their day in court. If hubris and history can teach us anything, this admin will just do as humans do and pooh pooh their entire political existence eventually, in a very unremarkable and embarrassing fashion. The midterm rush itself might stress the MAGA actors to the point of complete party disorganization, allowing more and more scandals to seep through. Just a matter of stats. Must be terrifying for the admin to consider "what's the next big scandal we have to cover-up?". it's late and I could definitely expend more effort into writing this, but you should get the notion of my loose and generally unremarkable idea. I should note that despite all the horrible, reprehensible and downright evil actions that these actors have committed, it is still depressingly sad to see so many human beings just plainly disgracing themselves and their peers. All of these people were somehow failed so horribly that they turned into literal monsters, felons and abject dregs of humanity. They have really given themselves the smallest margins for forgiveness, and are banking on the astronomically slim chance that they won't be tried for, among other things, treason. It should go without saying, I don't support political violence or promote illegal actions or behaviors. Anything I say or believe should be understood as an unserious opinion. Thanks!
