The first of many I hope, the Trump-Epstein web is large.

Thank goodness the shareholders who had nothing to do with the situation have been held accountable for Epstein‘s crimes. Justice at last. And the best part is that all the people who actually had something to do with it will be able to avoid prison or being held personally responsible. Yay I can’t blame his victims for taking whatever money they can get from anyone they can but this is so absurd. The only people who were at fault are the only ones who aren’t facing consequences I am not a Bank of America shareholder if you think that’s what I’m saying.

What’s the point of being on the Board if you can’t leave the shareholders holding the bag?

I get your point about this doing nothing to hold the pedos accountable, but who gives a f*** about the shareholders? The board will just lay some people off or figure out how to charge their customers extra fees or something and still get their dividends.

Because many ordinary people would qualify as shareholders through their 401k. This hurts their retirement through no fault of their own

Seems like it's their fault for doing business with such a despicable entity. And BoA has been notoriously shitty to its customers. Terribly shitty

....do you think people actively manage their 401k's? Do you understand what a 401k is? If you're invested in a S&P 500 Index fund you are invested in BofA lmao

WTF is up with this thread?  Do you think if they settle it will come directly out of everyone’s 401k? When a post about sex trafficking victims suing banks for hiding transactions from billionaires turns into “but my 401k” lol

lol no idea what a 401k is. It's fun being facetious! Seems like irresponsibility.

Would you feel that way if you found out that they were able to charge the full amount directly to the taxpayers? It’s not about defending the shareholders it’s the fact that the people taking a loss in this deal had nothing to do with his crimes.

Then sell the stock. That's  what the free market is all about.

Not sure if you meant to reply to me, but I agree. If your portfolio is that heavy BofA then call your broker and diversify now. The wild take that we should be concerned more about shareholders of f****** Bank of America than the fact they covered up transactions that billionaires made to pay JE his sex trafficking blackmail money is what I take issue with. Apparently they don't want to come out in discovery so they're settling. From the article: "The proposed class action, filed in October by a woman using the pseudonym Jane Doe, accused the nation's second-largest bank of [ignoring](https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/bank-america-bank-new-york-mellon-seek-end-epstein-lawsuits-2025-11-14/) suspicious financial transactions related to Epstein despite a "plethora" of information about his crimes because it valued profit over protecting victims."

I guess that's one way to stop it going to trial. Just release the Trumpstein files please and let the people decide who is a victim and who is not.

DanimalPlays Mar 16, 2026 +60
That is not the point of releasing the files. The victims are victims. The people need to know that those responsible will be held accountable.
