He is a convicted felon. He should have less privilege than law abiding citizens like us.

Yeah, how *is* voting as a felon? I mean, I *want* the absolute most stupid level of irony that a felon was elected President of the United States, but cannot vote.

Because it's not a federal law, much less a consistent law in every state. It varies by state and there are ways for felons who've lost the right to vote to get it re-instated.

Felon Voting Rights Webpage last updated: July 10, 2024 What standards govern eligibility to vote after a felony conviction?  **A felony conviction in Florida for murder or a sexual offense** ... **makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida unless and until the person’s right to vote is restored by the State Clemency Board.** For any other felony conviction in Florida, a person is eligible to register and vote if the person has completed all terms of his or her sentence. Completion of the sentence means: Prison or jail time; Parole, probation, or other forms of supervision; and Payment of the total amount of all fines, fees, costs, and restitution ordered as part of the felony sentence. Note: Such person may alternatively apply to have his or her right to vote restored by the State Clemency Board. A felony conviction in another state makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida only if the conviction would make the person ineligible to vote in the state where the person was convicted. An offense on which a person was not adjudicated guilty does not make a person ineligible to vote. A misdemeanor conviction does not make a person ineligible to vote.

Fewer. Sadly there's nothing preventing a felon from running for office. All of our representatives should be held to higher standards. Especially the president.

There are still certain things where I wonder how his base takes this and still keeps their head in the sand. I thinks thats becoming harder and harder for some to do, but yet many still try.

Introspection, admitting to being wrong, valuing critical thinking and changing one’s mind when faced with new information plus a whole lot of propaganda and cultural identity…here we are. Some of it is age. It gets harder as you get older. Gen Z that voted for him are reassessing, Silent Gen that voted three times for him are going to have a tougher time; it represents something more fearful and existential. Being a fool in your twenties is one thing, but your eighties? So painful. So they double down.

He means king when he says that. And Trump has done things that no British King during the time period of the American Revolution would have done, because they *had* limits on their power. So, what Trump truly means is "God".

Then like a pharoph, when he passes, his administration should be buried with him.

So he is obviously free from any constraints. If you are a star, they let you do it. Enabling, disgusting, GOP Congress, and a few members of the Supreme Court.

>”You know what, because I’m president of the United States. And because of the fact that I’m president of the United States, I did a mail-in ballot for elections that took place in Florida because I felt I should be here instead of being in the beautiful sunshine.” You know what, because I’m president of the United States. And because of the fact that I’m president of the United States I can r*** children here in Florida in and out of the beautiful sunshine.

Yeah this is his excuse for everything including stealing and lying about boxes of classified material he kept in an unsecured location. I literally cannot think of a worse public figure than Donald Trump who deserves to be in office. It's like handing a toddler an automatic machine gun and hoping they'll be able to turn around your failing business.
