I want to watch one of the best movies featuring Henry Cavill for my cinema class, and I’d really appreciate some recommendations. I’m looking for a film that showcases strong acting, storytelling, and overall cinematic quality. Thank you all in advance for your suggestions!
Please, not tv show, I need a movie.
He played a better Robert Vaughn than Robert Vaughn.

You and I are the only ones who did, I think . I liked them both together, Cavill & Hammer. I wish they'd done another with those characters.

Stardust: otherwise known as the movie where Daredevil seeks the help of Juliet and Vito Corleone to convince the owner of Las Vegas Raiders to leave Superman, then fight Merlin and Catwoman.

I quite enjoy The Count of Monte Cristo that he was in when he was younger. But "best"... I'd probably go with Mission Impossible: Fallout. (Though I think Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is weirdly overlooked and is great).

Man of Steel, Cavill’s portrayal of Clark is quite reserved but it really works. I gotta be honest I don’t know how people can watch that movie and diss his acting.
Regardless of what you think of MoS it is a high quality movie, and you can see the amount heart put into it through-and-through. Just one example is The Kryptonian design language, alone, it is so beautifully done and it’s one of the most unique aesthetics we’ve seen in CBM history.
The movie has a ton to talk about, so it’s perfect for writing a paper on.

mission impossible fallout is the only truly great movie he’s ever been in

man of steel gets way too much hate imo, cavill absolutely nailed the conflicted superman vibe and the cinematography was gorgeous. mission impossible fallout is probably his best overall movie though - that bathroom fight scene alone makes it worth watching and he's genuinely menacing as the villain

Man of steel suffered hard for being released while the mcu was about 10 movies deep. Not only was superhero fatigue starting but if people were still interested, they watched the mcu movies instead.
It also was solid but nothing mind blowing, so it didn’t stand out well.

The fatigue was NOT starting during Man of Steel. 😂

Avengers: End Game released 6 years after Man of Steel and made almost $3b.
Fatigue was starting? lol

Yes, fatigue was starting. Endgame was, as you well know and the name implies, the end of the entire mcu and what people had invested years of fandom into. Man of steel was not. People who liked superhero movies were watching the 20 mcu movies that came out within the few years before and after man of steel, not watching a random new Superman movie. People who were mild on superhero movies would watch the good or extra special ones, like endgame. Not man of steel.

He's in the Fudors, and actually does a pretty good job with his acting on the show.

Good Fellas (1990)? Oh wait- that's [*Henry Hill*](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099685/characters/nm0000501/)*,* not *Henry Cavill... ;-)*
