Lee Pace in Pushing Daisies, Jenna Ortega in Wednesday, and Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy the Vampire Slayer all make Entertainment Weekly's list of the Best Supernatural Shows to Stream. I love all three of these! Personally, I would add both Game of Thrones / House of the Dragon to this list. What do you like / think is missing?
The lack of the actual show called Supernatural is baffling.

Especially since the show wasn't terrible

Problem with Supernatural was that it should’ve ended with season 5. The show was dragged out for far too long.

I really wasn't into the overarching plotlines after season 5 for the most part but the standalone episodes where they let it get real weird were still consistently pretty good.

I agree. I dipped.
But a have a few friends who refused to get out of that abusive situation. And they insist it has a dip for a while then gets better again.

I watched every season and would have watched more. The overarching story quality does dip and even got pretty bad for a few seasons but the core appeal of the show was Sam, Dean, Cas, and whatever friends they had hunting and killing monsters and that was always there and fun to watch IMO.

1-5 were its peak.
6-8 were pretty bad. The Leviathans just didn't work as follow ups to the demons.
Once they went back to the demons again, it got a lot better again. I don't think it ever got as good as 1-5, but it certainly improved a lot.
Seems like a pretty garbage list if Supernatural isn't on the list.
AHS at the top? That's hard to justify to me.

Toss in What We Do in the Shadows as well. I loved how that show would dive into folklore and bring up to date versions of supernatural creatures.

I enjoy the more obscure ones not many people think about or know of.
Now 10 of that style that come to mind... The 1980s Beauty & The Beast, Forever Knight, Millennium, TNT's Witchblade, Tru Calling, The WB's Birds of Prey, Torchwood, Kyle XY, The Time Traveler's Wife, and Pennyworth.

What was the thing that was basically Moonlighting but with a vampire. I think they were maybe cops not private investigators but..
I thought the dresden files tv show was great but it was only 1 or 2 seasons it lasted.

If you want something dark and beautifully written that sadly went under many people's radar then I'd very highly recommend Penny Dreadful, it's outstanding (although the writing quality of the third and final season isn't as brilliant as the first two). Nevertheless, give it a try. The acting is also excellent, particularly Eva Green and Rory Kinnear.
I should add that while it's supernatural it's also a horror and it's not afraid to show blood and gore when the story calls for it.
It's on various streaming services and can also be purchased on Blu-ray.
