Better Call Saul is 99% a masterpiece and one of the greatest achievements in TV history. However, there's one thing that was as stupid of a decision as anyone could make in screenwriting.
in the final few episodes they are flip flopping between the past, present, and previously unseen happenings in the BB timeline.
The decision to have Jesse randomly ask Kim questions and her answer in an almost Marvel-esq way is so f****** cringe. It's insulting to the audience that both shows built (in which Vince has proclaimed his audience is very smart and will sniff out bullshit).
The dumbest thing to happen between both shows for sure
One scene of fan-service in the whole show, and not even a bad one. People do need to rant, heh

Plenty of other spin off shows wouldn't have as much restraint in what they did.

I think it was an okay cameo. Not worth dropping it from S tier status

Wasn’t that the scene where they were finalizing their divorce? IIRC, my impression was that it gives insight into Kim’s frame of mind and opinion of Jimmy once you pull back all the layers of their personal relationship, put them aside, and let her speak to truth. It shows that she still respects him.
What was sillier was trying to see Aaron Paul as a young Jesse again, but I don’t mind a little fan service.

If this one scene of blatant tell-don't-show in BCS is worthy of complaint, then I never wanna see another thread about how great Paradise is

I think the prisoners chanting on the bus was worse.

Out of their control but the biggest let down was changing the cab driver, Jeff, from a crook/criminal who knows "Gene's" real identity and turning him into a friendless geek who lives with his mom.
Would have been far more compelling if Gene/Saul/Jimmy was kind of "enslaved" by the original Jeff at risk of exposure and was forced into the department store robbery and what not.

Amazing show, but should have ended with Kim on the bus.

I wouldn't go that far. I'm glad she repented and had her moment.

I kind of agree about the Jessie specifically, but I feel what worked in that scene was seeing Emilio. Also, in general everything with Domingo, Emilio, Tuco, Lalo, Mike, Gus, etc. are all top-tier tie ins. I just did a Better Call Saul straight into Breaking Bad watch and it's so satisfying to see the stories continue.

I stopped watching the final season because the black and white intro scenes are meh, and someone mentioned the last half of the last season are all those post-BB scenes. Now I’m wondering if I stopped too soon 😂
Edit!
To everyone giving me shit below, I just watched the black and white scenes of BCS, since everyone was insisting I was missing out.
Meh.
The rob a mall episode was kinda fun I guess. It was nice knowing what happened to Kim. But after the Howard and lalo stories end it wasn’t as good. Sorry Listnook.
I haven’t finished breaking bad itself (I was trying to go chronological) and a lot of the black and white episodes are callbacks to BB characters. If you finish BB and really want to know what happened after, the black and white scene are for you.

As someone who also thought those intro scenes were meh, the last few episodes of that season are absolutely incredible. 100% go back and watch

Good to know! I am trying to watch in order so I started BB with the intention of going to watch those scenes in chronological order. I’m in season 3 of BB now 😂
I was devastated with the Howard and nacho storylines and needed a break so I figured chronological made sense.

Are you seriously asking if after watching 5 full seasons of the show, and then the first half of the final 6th season, if you stopped too soon?

When watching fireworks, do you also close your eyes before they explode in the air?
