And when you look at the list of past honorees, Bill Maher would never in a million years have ever been honored if not for Trump. Why can’t anyone imagine him having audience? Would they prefer a Democrat or Republican who just was 100% agenda based who never questions their own party? (Don’t we have enough of those especially now on the Trump MAGA bandwagon…) In a world of extreme partisanship and loyalty to your political ideology and “team,” sometimes mindlessly, far more mindless competition than even drunken fans at team sports…. it’s always nice to think that some people can sometimes disagree with their own team when their team is clearly in the wrong…

Did he *actually* get the prize, though? Or is this just something he has long sought, but never earned, and instead found someone willing to give up their previously-awarded medal to him? Sad as it might sound that anyone could ever be that shallow.
