The problem with “tacking to the center” is that you *think* you’re following the public mood but what you’re actually doing is following narratives written by like ten op-ed writers and some podcasters.

listen, if anyone has the best interests of the dems in mind, its gotta be bret stephens and marc theissen. or so i'm led to believe, based on how many op-eds they write toooootally giving good faith advice on how to help democrats win.

I mran...They are following public mood here. Public mood is "we want lower energy bills and we don't really care where the energy comes from, lower our bills".

They're buying more fossil fuels when fossil fuel prices are the highest they've ever been and unlikely to ever get much more affordable? Loser "centrist" heels choosing the loser choice, again.

The right policy has always been to invest in all resources, Fhen you have trump who cuts working wind and solar projects for no reason

It makes zero sense to build more infrastructure for fossil fuels, though.

If they are unlikely to ever get more affordable then this the cheapest price to buy them for a while so it makes much more sense

Fossil fuels are a finite and obviously fragile resource, and people want to keep supporting them? Not good planning by anyone

As usual, Democrats act as enforcers for the Republicans on solar policy.
