She’s a podcaster. Her whole shtick is that her podcast is awkward with cringe humor and small talk with celebrities. She basically abandoned her family to focus on her career. She chose interviewing Drake rather than being their for her daughters first birthday party. She was married but was still asking rappers if she was their type. Eventually her and her husband separated and she’s been spiraling ever since.

Long story short: did a bunch of podcasts where she had very flippant energy which carried over to her socials. Did one with Drake where she admitted she missed her daughter's first birthday to do the podcast. Drake as a father understandably dragged her massively which she tried to bite back asking where his son was like it was a gotcha, his reply was "somewhere safe and it not his birthday" Everytime she does anything its with "I'm too cool for this" energy but lack any real depth to be interesting and all of this was at the cost of her marriage and relationships with her kids. Suddenly going from pretty much a nobody to interviewing superstars and acting like she's entitled to be there and it fine to ignore her family tends to rub people the wrong way.

Yes but she lacked the talent to give it any depth. It never really developed being the typical teenage level of idc. I've heard her try this persona on other podcasts and it doesn't work.  I did hear her being "real" on other podcasts after her whole thing failed the first time around. Well after the initial drake interview she hung out with drake a few times and ppl were saying they were hooking up .. which then she got divorced not long after so then people really believed she cheated on her husband with drake but then also not long after the initial interview drake blocked her on Instagram and then she removed the interview .. so ya everyone basically assumed she not only missed her child's first birthday or birthday party , whichever it was to interview drake but she cheated with drake and divorced and all because of it ...... then she does another interview with drake like a long while later in which she explains her truth of it all...

Her truth of it all is that her marriage already had problems as he was older than her snd she was very young and that her and drake were just friends but she does also go on to tell that she went to one of drakes shows and she left in the middle of it because something happened that upset her and ahe sent drake a bunch of scathing text messages while he was still on stage performing ........

Santino has his fair share of “dude…” moments, but she was mean to Bobby Lee in another episode so he decided to undermine her entire show and ran comedy circles around her the whole time. Someone set up by the industry to get a lot of eyeballs but also be safe to whatever they are trying to sell. So if there was an organic way to podcast, where people just listen and then tell other people to listen. The Plant version is where you book a major guest and then have bots and midlevel people in the industry interact with it, so it feels like a groundswell. but ultimately, its just so the agency has a person they can call to raise one of their people's profiles.

This is the thing that is annoying. I just today scheduled a weeknight work event I might need to be at on my kids actual birthday. We’re going to schedule the actual party on a different day on a weekend as we have every other birthday ever. They’re too young to care. If it were an older kid and it was important to them, I’d prioritize the timing above work. The rest of the criticism, sure, but this is so normal it’s obvious it’s just internet mob logic.

That's what people do here, gossip about celebrity drama.  I don’t disagree with anything you said, but it’s definitely my old man moment (yelling at clouds, keep off my lawn, etc) when the gossip/drama is about *celebrity influencers*. It’s definitely a me problem, but I just never include social media people under the banner of entertainment. They’re more like carnival barkers or the dude with the sign on the street corner yelling at cars and pedestrians.

Unpopular opinion I guess, but the hate for her is super weird. Sure the birthday thing was a bad look, but many people would have made the same sacrifice to book an interview of that caliber.
