Bored as heck at work rn just want some human interaction as my work partner is passed out cold lol

M20, at work rn been sitting in line for about 6 hrs and my partner has been sleeping for about 4 of them. I canr physically handle any more reels lol

Oh that's the worst. I guess the bright side of it is that you're getting paid for a very long and boring night. What was the most interesting reel that you saw tonight if you didn't end up completely brain rotting yourself? lol

Other then the horrible rot i seen on occasion my feed is full of Chinese reels making me want to vist lol and tons of martial art stuff like usual, yeah the pay definitely makes up for it

Yeah i do bjj and muay thai, ive been geting tons of tkd because my friend keeps sharing stuff before is up coming comp, whats the difference between normal karate and your style?

I guess the best way to put it would be what my sensei explained about it--other martial arts have a lot about fighting. Shotakan is more of an art. It can be used for fighting but it's more about form and movement. There's sets of movements called katas that are kind of like a martial arts dance with steps that you have to learn. Oh there is still sparring and matches for it (kumite) and it's still pretty physically exerting as it requires very tight control and a lot of leg strength. Just in terms of use on the street, that's where it's more art than anything else. My sensei's grandmaster used to be a Guardian Angel in LA until things went very wrong for her one night. It's too stylized for that kind of thing.

This is definitely a special occasion lol, the rest of my job is hard and gross I work in the oil field so its long ahh days and hard work, but go somewhere that works oil and get a swamper job, you domt even need experience

Very very long days upwards of 16 hrs a day regularly, its hard work im in Canada so its very cold but down it Texas its horrendously hot, its gross working a vac cleaning and moving nasty fluids makes tou super smelly and stains your skin, and its very dangerous lots of invisible gas that will kill you in seconds, (look up H2S) and tons of other dangerous shit, but if you like working id give it a shot
