That's not true everywhere in Africa fyi. You're talking about a giant-ass continent with thousands of different cultures, it's not a monolith. Yes some of them were radicalized by Islam or Christianity, but some just hated gays all by their lonesome. Comments like this really feed into the whole 'noble savage' trope.
