So it’s ok that he’s abusing her bc she’s wealthy? Almost all her money was tied to that chateau, whereas he had tons of other resources. She needed to sell to afford to raise her kids. There’s a filing out there that explains that he never made any meaningful child support payments, and her money was tied up in the investment. She was fucked and he took full advantage.

She’s still a human being who has been trapped in a legal battle with her abusive ex for almost a decade. I don’t really care how much money she has, this just speaks to the fact that even rich multi millionaires can have incredibly difficulties escaping their abusers.

Him being still popular is the issue. He is manipulated media with headlines like this, but when you read the articles you realize he is the issue. He is trying to just cause her to suffer and destroy her reputation. It’s not about the money

No, but I've read the fbi report; know that Pitt tried to shut down release through a bogus NDA buried in the winery dispute; know that Jolie has been fighting for almost a decade to try and get files released that will shed light on what "several factors" led to the FBI not pursuing the case (my guess: money, fame, money, money, fame, and money); and most of all, I know none of his adult kids want anything to do with him. Dude has "denied he abused his family", his lawyers said it's a "rehash that only harms the family", and so on. You know what Brad Pitt has never to my knowledge said? "I've never beat my wife, I've never hit my kids, I've never poured alcohol on any of them, I've never threatened any of them, the allegations about what happened on that plane are false, and I will see her in court." Anyway. Family dynamics are complicated, sure, but if you think beating up your wife and kids is a "complicated dynamic", I don't really know what to say. Besides, it is my business. I go to the movies. Just not his movies. Because he's a colossal piece of shit.

I wasn’t an actress or anyone who ever thought they’d end up in Hollywood. Never wanted to go in the first place. I got dragged along because my new husband’s (at the time) career blew up overnight over a small project he had done that got a lot of attention, and he got an opportunity he and his writing partner couldn’t turn it down. I quit my career to go along, what the hell, I thought. How bad could it be to move to sunny weather and palm trees? Bad. Big, bad bad. SMH. 🤦‍♀️ We moved countries to do this, and left my consulting job to follow him. So stupid. This was his dream, not mine, but we had been married for about a year and I never thought his biggest dream would actually happen. Not that he wasn’t talented, he was, but so is most everybody working in some way or another. You’re not special there. You may have been in your hometown. But not there. The whole system churns on a tiny percent of the same people who make a LOT of money, the occasional break out stars who make a splash each season, and the rest who do not and live well below what they could have made back home. But Hollywood is their destination no matter what. But the chances are super rare for anyone globally to actually get that chance. So off we went. For anyone entering the movie business, you’re bound to ‘first time’ salary limits, as laid out by the Guild. You have to prove yourself. His salary for the first movie was less than mine had been back home. If he’d made it, the second and third movies would have been more lucrative, but that didn’t end up happening. We lost everything. We did not even have a car when we arrived. He got a small stipend on the days he was shooting, and a car would pick him up and drop him off on location days, but that was it for perks. All smoke and mirrors. That was the *least* amount of money I have ever made in my adult life. We ended up drawn in to a lawsuit with Disney with his business partner over some stupid fight and their dream 3-picture deal and over night we were suddenly homeless… and I mean suddenly homeless, on Venice Beach, for over a year until we could resolve it legally. I got lucky and found a contract working for a satellite office of a company from back home that would pay me there, and we lived off that for a bit. I couldn’t work legally yet in the US so had to figure something out. Our legal bills to ‘win’ were over twice in legal bills than he made by Guild standards for his first film. It bankrupted us. And it killed his dream career right there forever. We couldn’t leave, we couldn’t afford to stay. We couldn’t afford anything. But boy, I paid attention. Because it wasn’t my dream, I didn’t really care about all the people we met, or when we first arrived who was who. They were all extremely insecure, anxious, and always unsure of when their next chance might be to make it again constantly, and desperate to land their big break. Or, for the ones who had… the next one. In between auditioning or pitching projects constantly. For some reason, the person. I most enjoyed meeting was Paula Poundstone because I liked her comedy so much way back then. And she was actually quite laid back and real. She was also, at the time, the only person who didn’t grab at me, or make sexual jokes about me in front of my husband, or give a shit that we were basically hobunks who knew nothing. She had her own scandal later. Everyone there is a hobunk from somewhere that started out not knowing much unless born in to it. Every Prom King and Beauty Queen from across America and beyond who ever wanted to make it there churning. I came to think LA stood for Lonely Adults. Everyone was so freaking lonely and desperate. I learned very quickly that there’s an entire secondary industry that prays off the very tiny few at the top and the folks who might work TV in the middle - all the agents, PR reps, managers, casting agents, accounting firms, coaches, Guild fees, and then your own stylist to help dress you, and so many little micro industries you’d never think of that spring up around wherever someone might be cracking big on to the scene. They ALL take their bite. So, when you hear of a celebrity you would think would have tons of money… they usually do not. This is why many advertise different products overseas for extra money when they start to make it, if they’re smart. If they’re even luckier and smarter, they start buying actual tangible assets like real estate all over the place and actually make a lot more money that way - their agents and PR firms can’t touch that money. And so they buy whatever they can all over, knowing their growing name will increase the value even more, and these can be rented out or flipped quickly if they have a long dry spell. And most do. And Hollywood is famous for long, dry spells. Hell, you could be internationally famous and only have ever made one single movie, years ago. But that money doesn’t keep just coming in unless you either owned the original material and get licensing fees, or you were clever enough and bold enough to structure a compensation package that gave you extra points on box office fees after completing your first guild piece. But you’ve got to earn your way to that level of negotiation. You earn every dollar you make there… the hours are brutally long, sexual, drug, alcohol, and more kinds of abuse are all ridiculously high, and whatever your particular weakness or predilection might be… Hollywood will amplify it until you have a big problem on your hands. Reality TV saved a lot of middling and third rate actors from ruin because it started giving them airtime on TV, growing their audiences that way weekly, while they waited and auditioned for bigger roles. Then came the internet, social media, and people building and maintaining their own carefully curated audiences. I stand by my cesspool comments. This was where I really saw up close how many men openly traded really young women and girls like barbell cards. The casting couch is real. For men and women. I couldn’t work in my field until my visa was straightened out, but discovered something on my exe’s computer that freaked me out so much, I packed up and left him that same day. I grabbed my dog, an old Volvo my dad wired me $1000 for, and drove the 3000+ mile journey home by myself. I left absolutely everything else behind and happily so. I’d had enough and seen too much. Ex has ended up bouncing around homeless for years and years and years since. But won’t leave the area. I ended up meeting someone else years later, and settled down and had a family and he did very well in a completely different industry and so did I. And I wasn’t afraid to have my daughter around anyone here the way I would have been in Hollywood trying to raise kids, I’ll tell you that. Most live extremely modest lives or flame out of Hollywood careers fast because it takes a long time to actually make enough to cover and keep a roof over your head to account for the long times you may be away on set if you’re lucky to get work often enough, paying double rent here and there, plus paying an entire team of people to keep your name highly visible so the public doesn’t forget you in between. Brokest, saddest period of my life. No thank you. It’s all an illusion. But thanks for assuming!

She’s hasn’t done a damn thing to him. He’s the one who abused his kids. He’s the one who refused to take any meaningful accountability. He’s the one who blocked her sale of her part of the chateau and keeps her tied up in court. He’s the one who didn’t pay meaningful child support. And he’s the one who hired Melissa Nathan and Jed Wallace to come after Angelina in social media posts, and magazine articles, and so on. He’s a POS for abusing her and those kids, but even more so for continuing to abuse them through finances and the media.
