Cox must have something coming up if PR firms keep posting all over listnook about him.

That’s not close enough to release for this amount of coverage. It’s gotta be something else.

Oh yeah OK I finally just found it, I think.  You have to read several paragraphs down to find it becausebthe srticle is a feature. His film , that he directed, is being released in the UK. It was released in the US last year. So here's the Times article that most of the current news articles are drawing on to make snippet articles like his rude quotes and this one about his gymming: Times article but non paywall: https://archive.ph/2026.04.03-192952/https://www.thetimes.com/life-style/celebrity/article/brian-cox-succession-interview-2z9hcqdzb ( non paywall) And this is the reason The Times wrote thatvarticle.  "We are meeting to discuss Cox’s own film directing debut. The film is called Glenrothan and thematically it bears some relation to Succession: two Scottish brothers, Sandy (Cox) and Donal (Alan Cumming), bear the scars of their overbearing father as they battle over the family whisky business." There's other stuff in the Times article- he talks about trump of course, the war, Scotland, how he lights a spliff almost every day, his fear of dementia, his muchbyiunger wife,  etc.

Is that the reason? You're the one making the post.

The post is direct from the people site about how he's almost 80 and goes to the gym. I'm not "making " up posts and have no idea what he has coming up. If it's based on the UK news site interview, maybe he has a play on. But since nobody read the article, it mentions that his costars have talked about his diabetic rage, which is quite interesting. He sounds difficult.  Update: it's a film that he directed yhat is coming out now in the uk i think. I just posted more info below. But I believe this film already came out in the us last year.

Second thing I've seen about him in a twenty minute span. Definitely getting pushed. I guess the McDonald's commercials aren't putting him out there enough.

He’s still getting shit for gaslighting other actors and shit talking actors he doesn’t even know. Honestly- his PR doesn’t really need to do shit. At this point we all know he’s from the grumpy f***** on Succession and the voice of McDonalds.

Stop asking this man questions! I want to see the next season of Dexter before he blows up the production with some old man nonsense that comes out of his brain. Let him run his mouth about anything he wants after the new seasons on tv!

It sounds like he’s just rambling to someone and they are making click bait articles about it. Man yells at clouds

“You really have to be responsible for your body” is rich from the guy cashing McDonald’s checks

“Gym three times a week,” the actor said. “You really have to be responsible for your body, because it’s dying. You can’t give in to that.” He also added that he does all he can to decrease his odds of developing dementia. “Yes, you know, there’s all kinds of protocols I can take,” Cox told the outlet. “I’m very careful about it, because I need to learn my lines to keep working.” Cox also opened up about his health to ITV’s This Morning in 2023, saying that he can sometimes “get hangry because I’m diabetic.” "I need my food and then I don't like my food, so I have a very complicated relationship with my food," the Manhunter actor continued, adding, "I've started taking injections, so I do get hangry, yes."

Brian Cox sounds like a complete a****** based on all of these recent quotes from him.

These are all one interview, right? Like he was interviewed at some point in the past month and now we need to slow drip out of context quotes to make him look however we want him to look for the next 3 weeks? Entertainment news is a cesspool

dj_ethical_buckets Apr 4, 2026 +19
Because he goes to the gym?

Self importance. Seems like my feeds lately are full of him criticizing other actors and bloviating about this and that.

I love when a celeb sits down for an interview and we get a separate listnook post for each statement he makes for a week.

Probably spends much of that time trying to pull his head out of his ass.

This dude is one really racist comment in a interview away from ruining his career. He's speeding running with all of McDonald's ad money to the end of his career 🤣🤣🤣

i hate this narrative. i would probably hit the gym if i didn't have to work this much to secure my rent and food. cooperations working hard to make us weak and addicted to bad foods, it's not just OUR responsibility, it should also be theirs/the governments

At least he will die healthy. But. he will die all the same, maybe even get an extra 10 years of assisted living out of it.

Essexyobbo Apr 4, 2026 +1
But he remains a mean, opinionated and supercilious ass.
