I really have thought I should have a closer relationship with my sister but no matter how hard I try I don't think we'll ever get to "do terrorism together" closeness.

It sounds more like his sister covered for his escape by lying to investigators based on charges.

I suppose my sister probably would try to help me not get caught.
Unless there was a reward for my capture. She'd take that in a second.
Maybe I need to address my issues with my sister in therapy.

I'd just tell my sister to give me up if the reward was good enough. She needs to buy her own place and I'm a lousy uncle to my nephews anyway.

I've read those rewards are usually not paid out unless you report it the exact right way. Like if the FBI offers the reward, but you tip off local cops, you get nothing.

Not wrong.
If people found out how often law enforcement agencies loophole fucked over citizens reporting tips out of posted reward money, there’d be a lot less rats in the world.

Yeah, that'd be a heck of a jam to ask her to help get you out of. You'd owe her so big after that

usually sisters are the ones manipulating the brother to do things. And then of course selling them out.

Ha. I was 16. my sister was 15. Dad is divorced; with the house and us kids. He goes out of town for the weekend. gives my sister 100 dollars for 'food'
15 year old sister has a HOUSE party; like a legit one. I'm like "what the f***" I can't do shit; Dad gave her the money.
Morning comes. People wake up; house is a mess. Dad calls. trip didn't go well with his girlfriend they are coming home.
I get everybody out of the house. Get the house cleaned up. Dad is non the wiser.
MONTHS GO BY, Maybe a year or so. My dad is pissed and moving furniture looking for something to clean. an empty bottle of brass monkey rolls out. Guess who is having the bottle being thrown at them for no reason.
Sisters have a reputation for a reason.
PS: I was not involved at all with the party. late 90s. I unplugged all the phones in the house after I got kicked off of AOL for the 2nd time; kept the phone i had rigged in my room plugged up.

I'm the opposite. If I was going to pick a buddy to do terror with, I think either of my brothers would be my first call. They best not be terroring without me.

Is it strange that I am annoyed when the news doesn't describe the explosive device.
There are some that are relatively harmless like illegal fireworks. Simple IEDs that are made to cause harm. Dirty bombs. And many more.
A explosive that could potentially cause harm isn't really a detailed description.

With current admin and fbi, you’d get this over a bottle rocket.

I know. It makes all bombs sound harmless if they group bottle rockets and a bomb that can actually destroy a vehicle or building together.
I understand that the news and police want to sensationalize things to get more attention. Eventually it just becomes the " Boy who cried wolf" and nothing they say matters.

A Chinese 20M and 27F tried to bomb a US Air Force base and then the brother fled to China? The base that is the current operational headquarters for the war in Iran?
Who is crazy enough to coordinate this stuff?
Is this some high level government espionage or genuinely just two morons?

Sounds like morons. One for trying to bomb and the sister for lying to investigators to help him escape.

There’s been a HUGE Chinese government operation across the state, especially the space coast.
There was an article posted a week ago talking about a Chinese guy in a wetsuit that was captured and deported near the launchpad restricted zone. Another part of the article had a private investigator company doing recon and tracking a data uplink to a Chinese compound in I think Cape Canaveral

There have also been several instances of Chinese attempting to sneak into SpaceX in Brownsville. There was one that made the news because it was a woman who when caught claimed Elon was her boyfriend. I suppose it's better to just make some people think you are crazy instead of thinking you are a spy.

Waiting for the right wing spin that these were both trans domestic left wing terrorists.

Kind of thought they would have been Iranian given what’s been going on, not Chinese.
I’m still not surprised, since there has been a big Chinese presence here.

Is the presence of a large group mean they will commit terrorism?
I’m really not following your logic of “I’m still not surprised, since there has been a big Chinese presence here.”

*Ultimately, they were caught, because the sister got her arm stuck in a couch in the barracks.*
