Whoever suggested *Nebraska* to me… thank you 🥲

PolPotbelly Mar 26, 2026 +16
Nebraska is amazing. I also believe more people should listen to his album The Ghost of Tom Joad.

sanderson1983 Mar 26, 2026 +6
So I'm assuming RATM was covering Springsteen?
6
unowndanger Mar 26, 2026 +2
It sure is. Tom actually still covers the tune frequently. Did so with Bruce a bunch and did it once with rise Against, Brian Fallon and Wayne Kramer.
2
sanderson1983 Mar 26, 2026 +2
I'll have to check out the album. No idea why but I always compared Springsteen to something like Bon Jovi, mom jean rock without every really listening to him.

zoppaTheDim Mar 26, 2026 +2
You’ve basically confused the original with the bland imitation. As if you chose Winger to represent metal or blink 182 for your opinion on the Dead Kennedys.
2
sanderson1983 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Oh shit. Am I Stewart?
1
zoppaTheDim Mar 26, 2026 +1
Exactly, Unless you’d like me to use my “you’re not Dumb and Dumber, you’re Dude Where’s My Car” analogy.

Listen to Live in Dublin
1
ManassaxMauler Mar 26, 2026 +1
I could swear he also covered it with Serj Tankian? Am I remembering that right?

Nothing brings people together faster than $400 tickets
28
moneyfish Mar 26, 2026 +9
I thought you were exaggerating. $300 in Ohio for nosebleeds.
9
todogeorge23 Mar 26, 2026 +5
$79 for nosebleeds at Target Center and $250 at Madison Square Garden
5
moneyfish Mar 26, 2026 +4
$79 is a good price. I’d pay that.
4
todogeorge23 Mar 27, 2026 +2
Yeah and Phoenix is $50

You don't understand, you see (/s). Our labor class is irrelevant to the economy, irrelevant to the political process, irrelevant to culture, and now, irrelevant to entertainers who 'got sumthin to say!' Our only role left is to get back on the factory floor lest we get pushed off by the robots and into the detention center. Bruce's daughter was an equestrian in the Hamptons for f***'s sake. You can't have a rally for democracy where you get access via Ticketmaster. Springsteen has written a ton of great songs. He just shouldn't fool himself that he's actually doing anything here.

AFlyingToaster Mar 26, 2026 +1
Kings are about all that can afford his No Kings tour. It's sad; I'd love to see Bruce, but not for $450.

Da Boss Is Da BEST!
2
MJR_Poltergeist Mar 27, 2026 +2
Pay a hilarious amount of money to listen to a boomer virtue signal politics to you. For what purpose?
2
azrolexguy Mar 27, 2026 +2
Yes, I guess mask and vaccine mandates were not authoritarianism
2
GeneralKlinger Mar 26, 2026 +5
He should probably concentrate on lowering tickets prices since yaa know, he’s promoting a “unity” tour. Nothing unifying about $400+ tickets 🤣 Edit: Don't know why I'm getting downvoted. Guess people are fine paying Bruce $400+ LOL I wasn't commenting politically one way or the other.

federkrebz Mar 26, 2026
still sucking pedo orange hitlers d*** after everything that happened is genuinely so insane
0
woxianghekafei Mar 26, 2026 +2
I don’t support orange at all and never have. I also think that a lot of the political posturing from economically privileged American liberals that leaves out the poor is absurd. We can walk and chew gum at the same time
2
PureLock33 Mar 26, 2026 +2
> We can walk and chew gum at the same time you're making a lot of assumptions about me!
2
anonymous_reader Mar 26, 2026 -3
Yea that’ll show Trump I’ll make a tour that my fans who are screwed by Trumps policies can’t afford And anyone criticizing me will just be call Trump bootlickers While I ride off with another few hundred million for a sub par performance A true American hero Sometimes both sides of these things suck And in this case that’s true But downvote me
-3
Oppositeofhairy Mar 26, 2026
Yes. The “working man’s” artist. 400 dollars aren’t even the good seats. What a hypocrite. Edit. I’ll change my mind if he donates the proceeds to those impacted by the current administration and sets up a free condensed concert for the protesters, then continue on with the full concert at full price. I’d be all for it. Otherwise, he’s just using the poor as inspiration to perform for the rich
0
ayoungmanfromtheuk Mar 26, 2026 +4
He is still a much better person than Ol' Yam T*** Donald Trump
4
Oppositeofhairy Mar 26, 2026 +3
I’m not going to pay 400 bucks to see him either. Well that depends on what the experience is. 400 bucks to berate him and kick him in the ass after,……maybe.

$79 for nosebleeds at Target Center and $250 at Madison Square Garden
2
Oppositeofhairy Mar 26, 2026 +2
Yes. You are right. 79 dollars behind the stage in the last row where you can’t see the show. I just said 400 isn’t for the good seats. I didn’t say you can’t get cheaper tickets.
2
todogeorge23 Mar 26, 2026 +2
$400 actually are the good seats. I saw Billy Joel in section 315 at MSG a couple years ago and it was an awesome view https://preview.redd.it/b7ffzxniagrg1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=292d4657a399d9d09ee6acb0241eaf9b446d4941

This is what good 400 dollar seats look like. https://preview.redd.it/bgm010lxagrg1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c75b53c567dcf576c28b277d33faaa2731c3d9e0

Who is that? A Phish cover band?
1
todogeorge23 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Yeah, but that isn't The Boss
1
Oppositeofhairy Mar 27, 2026 +1
Yeah. You get what I’m saying though. Bruce is charging an eye watering amount and none of these bands I gave pictures for claim to be a “working man’s musician”. His ticket prices use to reflect this. Now this virtue signaling and making statements like the Calvary is coming for the little man that’s being squashed by the government just feel insincere with how much he’s charging. For these seats for Dead and Co. the equivalent is 1000+ a seat. It isn’t for bringing hope. It’s bringing money in his pocket. I’d say his target audience with these prices are the ones that are trumps target demographic.

He's in his 70's. If you can't afford tickets you need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps young man
1
IrrelevantLeprechaun Mar 27, 2026 +1
And yet people will defend Taylor Swift for having even more expensive tickets because "she doesn't owe anybody anything." Any performer that allows their tickets prices to be beyond what most can afford should always be called out for it no matter what they supposedly stand for It's just worse in this case since Bruce here is claiming this tour is for national unity.

How do you feel about this? https://www.nme.com/news/music/donald-trump-reportedly-pushed-justice-department-to-settle-live-nation-antitrust-lawsuit-3936332
0
GeneralKlinger Mar 26, 2026 +2
What does that have to do with Bruce charging $400+ for concert tickets?
2
TheLadyEve Mar 26, 2026 +5
Are you under the impression that Bruce himself is personally setting ticket prices? Do you know how ticket pricing works? Have you been following the anti-trust suit at all and do you understand what it means? It's okay if you don't, but you should probably inform yourself on it.

$79 for nosebleeds at Target Center and $250 at Madison Square Garden
-1
GeneralKlinger Mar 26, 2026 +1
Nosebleeds for $250 is a terrible deal for any band LOL
1
todogeorge23 Mar 26, 2026 +1
Why did you ignore the $79 and go straight to criticizing the higher amount? It's NYC so of course it's gonna be steep... Phoenix is $50
1
troglodyte Mar 26, 2026 +2
Everyone is upset about the price but I'm just bummed he skipped Denver, SLC, and Vegas. For the mountain west those are the best three options and we went oh-fer. Bummer. I probably could have talked myself into $300 if he came anywhere close, but that plus significant airfare and hotel? Sadly out.
2
Maxpowr9 Mar 26, 2026 +1

80 dollars is still a lot for shitty seats.
-1
todogeorge23 Mar 26, 2026 +7
$80 is also a lot to fill up your gas tank but that's how it is nowadays with the war on the poor

GeneralKlinger Mar 26, 2026 +3
Is the 2nd comment a joke? I haven't personally been to a Bruce show in a long time, but I know for a fact he crushes it nightly. For an "old man" he's way better than 90% of today's current artists. And still puts in 2hr+ shows.

CobaltIsobar Mar 26, 2026 -1
Is he owned by the CCP or something?
-1
KingPen15 Mar 27, 2026 -1
I'm guessing he is ignoring the "suppresses political freedoms, limits opposition, and restricts civil liberties" part of authoritarianism

aiphrem Mar 26, 2026 -13
I mean, I agree with the message but Bruce Springsteen is the corniest dude ever

He couldn't be any cornier than whoever's running the White House Twitter account.
